Psycho Pickles Pickled Gherkins Ghost Pepper 450g Jar

I love spicy food and I love pickles so I couldn't wait to try these. They are very tasty and HOT. I honestly wasnt expecting them to be so spicy since so many foods claim to be spicy and really arent. If you love spicy pickles then these will definitely not disappoint. They are really good and I'll definitely be buying more in the future.

I don’t write reviews- ever. I love these things, but OMG they are hot. I mean, that’s the point, right? The shipping from the UK makes the price ridiculous but for how long a jar of these will last (and this is my third…), it’s totally worth it. They’re barely sweet I love the flavor. Keep some heavy dairy nearby to calm things down.

When I first purchased these I did not realize how small the jar would be. It's very small compared to my other pickles, so be sure to check the size. I was afraid I would not like these because after reading some of the reviews it said they were sweet pickles...that I don't like. I tried two and I wouldn't categorize these in the sweet category! These pack some heat and the flavor is good. I don't think I could eat more than two at one sitting but so yummy! Spice is lingering but not numbing. I loved how small one of the pickles were as you can see in the photo. Crunchy.

I've been looking for hot food to get an endorphin rush. I've tried many hot wings and plenty of gimmicky ghost pepper foods. Paqui ghost pepper chips... blah. not very hot. can eat the whole bag no sweat. These things are hot! I've had a raw ghost pepper before, and while that is too much, these are perfect. I ate 5 of them, then pain set in. Challenged myself to 1 more, then 1 more, then 1 more. a lot of pain. finished 10 and was feeling a rush. 5/5 stars, will buy again. only negative is that they are so expensive. However, if you eat 10 or less each time you'll probably have 5 or so servings. at $5 a time it's an ok price for the experience. Would love to see them at $15or less for a jar though.

I was looking for a spicy dill or sour pickle these are sweet as candy with a very spicy kick. If you like sweet pickles these are probably for you.

Spicy pickles are what made me become a chili head! This product is the hottest pickle I have tried so far. It is tangy, sour, savory and the ghost pepper flavor really pairs well with the pickle! Very good product!

Didn't lid was loose juice leaked out won't use them disappointed

The pickles were good, good dill flavor, and nice hit. The issue is the pickles are very small and not many for the price. Probably wouldn't buy them again.

Ich esse wirklich gerne scharf. Und diese Gurken sind scharf! Aber der Geschmack ist für einen verwöhnten Spreewalder-Gurken Liebhaber richtig unterirdisch. Wenn man die Zutatenliste einmal anschaut, dann sind das: Gurken, Chilie, Wasser, Essigsäure und Spritessig sowie Geschmack. Bei Geschmack denke ich mir: "Ok Salz". So nun kann man über die Essigsäure streiten. Was ist damit gemeint? Beim Spritessig weiß ich, dass dies 10% Säure sind. Bei der Essigsäure könnte man von einem härteren Kaliber ausgehen. Auf jeden Fall tötet die riesige Menge Essig den gesamten Geschmack einfach. Es ist eben scharf und extrem sauer. Es kann sein, dass die Engländer es so mögen. Denn auch ein Rezept was sich "Prickled Eggs" (in DE eher als Soleier bekannt) nennt, ist so sauer, dass man sich echt fragt: "Geht's noch?". Das Gefühl im Mund muss dann als solches beschreiben: "Man isst ein wenig von der Gurke und Sauer + Schärfe breiten sich aus. Man ist sich nicht sicher ob dies so sein muss. Der Ratschlag auf dem Glas ist: Iss noch eine... Aber die Schärfe kann die extreme Säure einfach nicht überspielen. Obwohl man fast glaubt: Ok, sollte vielleicht so sein. Aber man fängt an sich zu schütteln. Das geht einfach nicht!" Für 10€ verlange ich einfach Qualität und das ist nur billiger Schrott teuer verkauft. Ich meine die Chilie bekommt man für locker 10€ das Kilogramm und die Gurken (in besserer Qualität) erhält man für 0,89€. Glas aufschrauben Chilie rein, kurz in ein heißes Bad gegeben. Und fertig...

Ok i try them they are good and a bit spicy, what o don't like is the sugar is too much i feel it and the hotness is not that much this is for babies hotness i would go 7 times more hot then this. That been said they are great but the price is bit too much for 400 grams if it was for 1 kg that will be a fair price Also hotness levels are for children, need to feel the burn which i didn't in this case

Living in Ireland, we're finding it difficult to get certain foods we would have easily bought pre-brexit. When I went shopping on Amazon for dill pickles I stumbled on these little spicy gems in the search results and said, what the heck, let's give 'em a try. The jar arrived in good time and fully intact. We love that the gherkins are teeny and the flavour packs a punch. I will certainly buy these again when we've polished them off. Oh and the heat is hot, a slow lingering spiciness - I can't wait to chop up a few in tuna salad or in a stuffed burrger!

Prefect if you like a heat challenge.

Super spicy if you eat them as they are - they had me sweating! pretty mellow if you add them into other things like a cream cheese bagel. Gives dishes a nice little kick. I use a dash of the pickle juice to make a spicy martini too. I fear this may be a new staple in my cupboard. I wouldn't say it's value for money as 8 bob a jar is pretty expensive in the gherkin world, but a nice little treat either way so I won't knock it down a star for the price.
