Hiltex 02016 16" Snap Ring Plier Set, 2 Piece | External and Internal Pliers | Straight, 45°, 90° Tips

These Pliers are very big boys and they did work to remove a snap ring that broke 4 other sets of pliers. One issue, however, is that the tips are facing the wrong way. When I was cranking on them to remove the huge snap ring off my truck, they would keep slipping off. I could reverse the tips, but then they wouldn't close in close enough together to completely compress the snap ring. The other issue is that one of the screws rounded out when I tried to remove it and now I have to drill it out. Otherwise, these are beefy tools that work well. Just need to make some modifications and understand that you bought a bargain set of Pliers. I'm sure if you bought them off "The Truck" , They'd work perfectly, but also cost 4-5 times as much..

Just what I needed to remove center cartridge from turbo charger very stubborn worked excellent. I broke two smaller pairs and they didn’t even budge the circle clip. You need these heavy duty ones. They got the job done quickly and safely.

Excellent quality and works with very large snap rings. Very nice case to store them in. Makes removal of large snap rings simple.

Works just as I needed them too but could use a better locking system for big snap rings

A small snap ring plier tool won’t work with the large heavy duty rings which hold together key parts of tractors and trucks. On the other hand this plier will easily place or remove the larger snap rings. I don’t know its maximum capacity but it easily placed the two inch rings on my tractor.

Could be designed way better honestly. I don’t even try using these anymore because they were purchased solely to use on 6R center support snap ring into case. It occasionally will work after getting someone to help and many many attempts. Maybe one day I’ll find a different use for them

I primarily bought these to do my 2011 f350 hubs. Theres another brand that is specific to this job but I chose these because it was a better deal and got two tools and was faster to my door. It worked. Had to file them down a little so they were narrow enough to fit in the hub. It took me 100 tries but they worked well. Good quality for the price. Doesn't feel like it's going to bend in your hands. Would definitely buy again.

Great set of large size snap ring pliers. They work great. Mad the job very easy to perform. Well made set in a storage box.
