Ortho 0438580 Grass B Gon Garden Grass Killer Ready-To-Use, 24-Ounce

This Works! I have a terrible invasion of Bermuda grass in a landscaped non-grass area after removing a large tree exposing the area to direct sunlight in Southern California. Did not see any results (The "leaves" will turn brown) until about 10 days after the first application. Directions state to re-apply after 7 days and do not cut the "grass" during this period. One 24 oz bottle does not cover much of an area as you must spray directly on the "leaves". I have a approximately 200+ sqft area and one 24 oz bottle was not enough for one application. I would recommend buying 4 24's or the 40 oz container if you have the same or more than a small area like mine. Product does not seem to affect any of the other plants as well! Will be interesting to see if this very invasive grass comes back as rissoles(?sp) grow up to 1 foot underground making any mechanical removal virtually impossible in a developed area. Well, about a year later and the dreaded Bermuda grass has not come back. There is some reside of the dead grass but is fading away.

I was told over and over that the Bermuda grass taking over my bedding/bark mulch areas would be a nightmare to get rid of. This was suggested to me and it worked! It took several days and I had to repeat spray on areas that might have been missed. It killed the Bermuda grass and didn't harm my flowers or shrubs. I was quite pleased with the results.

I've had this before so will go ahead and do a quick review. It works. You are supposed to spray it when the sun is out and it will dry fairly quickly. Also, you must be patient because it takes about two weeks for the grass to completely die off. There are some plants like day lilies and any that have grass-like or lance-like leaves it will kill along with that horrid Bermuda grass so be careful about that. It did burn a little of some ornamental plant but not badly and it's worth it, Roundup is too much trouble with lots of grass and plants mixed together. I can update my review when I use it on some regular grass that has taken over a large section of my front border mixed with dianthus and other plants in the spring, will try to do B4 and after photos. Using it now, the grass will just come back from seeding. I am very leery about using chemicals because of possibly being hazardous to health but this one doesn't worry me, think I did use latex gloves just in case.

This product is absolutely wonderful. My only regret is that I didn’t find it sooner. I’ve have dealt with Bermuda grass growing into a huge flower bed for years. I’ve hired people to pull weeds numerous times (three or four times just this year). I found this product and sprayed it all over my dianthus, lillies, peonies etc. All of the grass died and my plants look great. I was told to dig it all up and start over. This product saved me from doing that. It definitely kills grass. I can’t rave enough about a product that really works. The plus is none of the grass has come back.

I’ve used this product before from Ortho and it worked great. I decided to buy through Amazon this time and it was like throwing water on the weeds/grass. Not one weed or blade of grass died. My flower bed looks atrocious. I used both bottles on a flower bed approximately 15’ long x 3’ wide. It is easy to use and I would recommend despite the price if it actually worked.

This product does a decent job but whoever packged it did a lousy job. It came in a cushioned packet with a plastic bag around it that wasn't sealed. I'm surprised the postal office let it thru because it was leaking so bad. I had to put it on old newspapers on the floorboard of the car to get it home.

Kills my garden grass when it gets out of hands. Hands down my go too. Give the product time to work and kill the grass. Once dead, grass want be growing for a while.

Been using it for about 5 years in my flower beds. Originally had Bermuda grass wandering through many other plants in a big bed. It killed the grass and didn't hurt other plants, and I haven't had Bermuda since. I've continued to use from the same spray bottle over these years when other grasses would appear (I live in the country) and it continued to work although it was over 5 years old. Amazing product.

I communicated with ortho company to recommend the product that will eliminate nutsedge they informed me to get this product and I followed the steps as recommended, but unfortunately no effect no result. Moreover, they told me to ask amazon to refund!!!. How can be that ?! The product is fully consumed based on their instructions!!!!!

I have a quite uncontrollable grass infestation in one part of my garden and have tried to dig it out many times without success. I purchased 2 Grass-B-Gone as a last resort because I did not know what else to do save killing everything in the areas with strong weedkiller and starting all over again. I am please to say this stuff really worked. However I needed to put 4 separate applications (but there is a lot of grass) and it has taken a few weeks for it to die back but it has worked. I have just bought another one to make sure the grass does get finished off once and for all.

long delivery time as maybe not available in UK?? it does work but soon used up spraying onto tall grass coming through other plants -- difficult to get enough spray on the thin grass. also very expensive .. but provided you can coat the grass it will kill it and not damage the other plants.

I think perhaps I had expectations that were too high because this product was pretty much useless for killing the weeds and grass where I wanted.Perhaps it is more suitable for lightly grassed areas that have minimal weeds.

Worked really well to kill just the grass that was growing among and between other plants.
