Good variety
I like the variety of these. 1 star off, missing one of the bolts to keep puzzle in the tray. My puppy is used to puzzles and needed some guidance on this one. Highly recommend.

Love this for my dog!!!!
It makes her think and keeps her occupied. She does not tear it up knowing her treats are inside. I started with just one box at a time because she seemed confused with all the different boxes. I just now added the second box. I put the treat in, show her where it is and open and shut it to show her how to open it. Then I found I had to walk away or she expects me to get it for her, I think. She lays by the box and then all of a sudden she opens it. I think I have to remove the first box cuz she got the treats right away and is now ignoring the second box. But it is very interesting training her - we are both learning. She has five breeds in her and is very smart. A dog rescued from TN. We did a DNA. LOL.

Two of the puzzles are great, the other two are useless.
The media could not be loaded. This set of 4 puzzles has two that are great (flip top lid with bone-shepherd lever, and sliding door/ ball chute), and two that need more work (tower with pull-out floor and paw-shaped lever). The idea of the tower puzzle is that a treat sits on a “floor” that the dog pulls out like a drawer, and the treat then falls down to the bottom of the tower which is sloped and then rolls out to the dog. But the slope is just not steep enough, with the result that even round treats fall to the bottom of the tower and just sit there on the slope, inside the tower, out of reach of the dog. The puzzle with the paw-shaped lever is meant to work by putting a treat inside the mini-tower behind the lever, and when the lever is pushed, the treat is pushed up and out of the mini-tower. Here’s the problem: the place where you stick the treat is wide open. My dog just skips the lever altogether and eats it right out of the mini-tower. I then taught him to use the lever, but there’s a lip inside the mini-tower, so unless the lever is SLAMMED down, the treat rises to the level of the opening and stays stuck there. Maybe get rid of the slope, or get rid of the lip? Putting the treat close to the opening doesn’t help because then it’s reachable without using the lever at all. Putting it in the back away from the opening means it needs extra momentum from slamming the lever down for the treat to make it to the front and out the hole. So half the puzzle is frustrating for dog AND owner. For a puzzle that cost $20, I expected more from Trixie.

Terrible. Do not buy
Terrible. Do not buy this. The holes are small and deep and my dog has a short snout and can’t get to the treats. It’s also big and bulky. I missed the return window.

Already Fun
My skinny, shy, 5 pounder took about 15 minutes before she realized she could open the door with her nose. Those cookies are gone. She hasn’t used her paws yet but when she decides it’s time for another snack she’ll figure out the step.Meanwhile her 15 pound sister and 30 pound cousin are still outside. They will jail break this in seconds because for them might makes right. They literally run right over her. I may wait until my little girl learns all 4 boxes.

my dog loves his puzzles
I wouldn't say its the best made dog puzzle ever but it works, the price was good and my dog loves it. He is getting better at it too. The puzzle he pushes the lever down to pop out the tree could use some changes. The peice inside gets stuck sometimes and its easy for him to stick his tongue in the hole and take it without doing the puzzle part of it. The other puzzle thats a peice of plastic he was to pull out yo get the treats to drop down and roll out is a pain. It didn't take him long to realize its super super easy to pop the top off and take the treats out. I guess its kinda still a puzzle tho lol but when he does pull out the plastic part the treats do not always roll out and we can only use 1 kind of treats and they don't roll so we have to make sure to put the treats to the side closest to the hole so they have less to roll to get out. Other than those minor flaws, as long as I fully supervise and don't let him cheat it usually goes pretty well. And he loves it as much as his other puzzle so overall we are still pretty happy with it
