XP Belay Device by Black Diamond

I love this device because it’s so simple and easy to use. It’s clear where the where the brake side is and it’s not too heavy.

Can't be beat for the price - intuitive and simple to use - handles my 11mm rope without too much difficulty, but larger diameters might be problematic. Solid construction - used with a quality carabiner, this is something you can rely on to safely descend at a rate with which you're comfortable.

nothing complicated about this belay device. It works perfectly for me that I bought another one. After 1 year of use, it is still very solid

High quality product, as one would expect from Black Diamond. Worked well with 10mm rope for rappelling. Would recommend for versatility and ease of use.

I've taken this down 6 rappels so far. I have to say that I did not expect less than the performance I got. I've used both 9mm and 11mm rope. The 11mm rope turns up the resistance during the rappel, but I needed that in the waterfall.

It's the ATC, it gets some hate these days cause it doesn't have assisted braking, but it's good value for the money. IMO, realistically you should just spend the extra 10 or so bucks and buy an ATC Guide if you are really into climbing so that you can use it as a belay from above device if you drop your primary belay device (or only want to bring one device). Solid option for belay and rappel, but just buy an ATC Guide! Otherwise you will have this and a guide and never use this (ask me how I know).

Lightweight; simple design; easy to use.

I go indoor rock climbing every weekend and I noticed my old ATC was getting worn slightly so decided to invest in a new one. Black Diamond's always been a good brand in my eyes and this item's no different. Holds steady even when there's a pretty big difference in weight between belayer and climber (basically I'm overweight), metal feels really solid and I've been trusting my life to it for the past few weeks now.

Schnelle Lieferung, Top gerät und das blau ist wirklich schön. Bisher nur in der Halle genutzt, aber im Frühling auch draußen.

庭木の高木剪定時にハーネスと使用してます。以前は別のものを安全綱に使ってましたが噛みこむと硬くて解除出来ないので宙ぶらりんになり動けなくなるので降下できる本モデルに変えました。使い勝手が良く安心して高木の選定作業ができます。これまでの物も併用し2重に安全綱し、仮に落ちた時も落下距離が50㎝程度になるよう綱の長さを調整しています。

Wie erwartet und wie alle anderen dieses Typs auch.. robust verarbeitet und schnell verschickt. Ist seit ein paar Wochen im Einsatz und Verschleiß hält sich in Grenzen
