When you set up a motorized stabilizer (or even a non-motorized), you want it perfectly balanced before you even try to use it, and with a motorized unit, you want it balanced before you turn it on. This way, the motors don't have to work as hard, you don't have to work as hard, and your batteries last a lot longer.I bought this to use with the Hohem iSteadyMobile+ 3-axis stabilizing gimbal for smartphones, and for my setup, it's just what the doctor ordered. I was able to get the phone pretty much balanced without the weight, but it was still rocking forward, and needed a little more weight added to the rear-back of the phone mount in order to get it level before powering up.The nice thing about this weight is the simplicity of it, and the versatility of it. You could use this to fine tune just about any gimbal system. Even for heavier camera systems, a small variable weight can help tweak it just enough to keep it steady.The clamp itself has some small amount of weight to it, and that could be enough for some purposes, but then you have this little bar of 4 grippy cylinders that screw into each other one at a time, and into the clamp. The clamp also has a 4 holes in it, so you can screw the clamp in whatever way you need, and add the weight in whatever direction is required to level your rig.It's a pretty great solution for my compact system, and it has a lot of different applications for all kinds of stabilizers.

Necessary for balancing the weight of an iPhone 11 Pro Max with an anthropomorphic lens on any of the handheld smartphone gimbals out there. If you see reviewers complaining about their gimbals not working or not being strong enough to hold up the weight of the phone, I can almost guarantee they aren’t using a counterweight like this one.Once it’s set up, the weight of the phone is more evenly spread across the axis of rotation, allowing the motors to do their job more easily. This set in particular worked great. The clamp is a good size and the set of included weights was *just* enough to get the job done. That said, it would be nice if the set included weights of various sizes, or if the threads on the weights were the same size as other brands (like Ulanzi) so you could mix and match. Overall not a bad set and a good value, and they worked in my setup, so I’m pretty happy.Amazon wants me to mention their warmth and sheerness in my review, so...sure: I found they were both intoxicatingly warm and delightfully sheer.

This is perfect to counter the weight /size of the iPhone 12.Especially when using wide angles did to the positioning of the phone

Well priced counterweight that attaches nicely with a solid mechanism. Doesn't look out of place on my gimbal.

iPhone 12 pro maxをスマホ用ジンバルで使用しようとしたところ、ケースをつけると重さのためか安定しない。ケースつけなくても若干動きがにぶいというかモーター無理してる感があった。このカウンターウェイト本体＋重り2個をつけたところ、iPhone 12 pro max+ケースで明らかにそのジンバルのペイロードは越えるのだが、安定的に撮影が可能だった。大変に助かった。まずは最初の段階で、バランスがとれることが大事なのだと思う。このあと追加のレンズをつけようと思い、現在、注文済みで到着を待っている。うまくいくか追記します。品物はしっかりしており安っぽくない。締めやすくて良い。

Hohem iSteady Mobile PlusとiPhone 12pro Maxを使用しています。本製品を付けることでバランスをしっかりとれます。固定のネジも閉めやすく、固定箇所に傷もつかないので安心して使えます。外部マイクを接続するためにジンバルの固定位置をギリギリまでずらす必要がありますがそんな状態でもしっかりバランスがとれます。というか更に安定感がでました。ジンバル買うならセットでおすすめです！
