Q: Where is this spoon made please?

Hi Robyn, I don't know the exact country origin that this grapefruit spoon came from. I believe the label said "China". -But don't bet the farm on it. I took a gamble ordering them. I was hoping that the serrations were only on the very front of the spoon and not along the edges. That's how the grapefruit spoons were that I remembered my mother having when I was little. And the photo on Amazon really was too blurry and small for me to tell. So, like I said, I took a gamble and ordered them. I was disappointed when they came as it had serrations along the edges of the spoon and not just on the front point as I had hoped. SOOO, with my mouth being a little too sensitive to the acid of a delicious grapefruit, I now have to be careful with these shark from the movie; "JAWS" type spoons and not tear up my mouth when hungry. It is so much like the Rolling Stones' classic... you can't always get what ya want... But, I am good with my hands. I may take them out to the shop and do a little filing and smooth them off with the wire brush... but they won't look as good. Hope this helps you Robyn. -Jack

Q: are these 18/8 stainless?

As far as I can tell, they are stainless but not sure about 18/8. I have had mine for several years and they are perfect for cleaning ribs and seeds from jalepenos. I don't eat grapefruit but that is what they are designed for. They show no signs of rust or wear. I would have no worries recommending them to anybody.

Measured 2 that I use...size 6 inches...that other size must be an error.
