It is a very mild flavor to me, not strong like other toothpastes. The baking soda is blended in so it is barely noticeable and does not feel gritty. I also think it has a very slight mint flavor but my husband says it tastes like toothpaste. I like it better than strong toothpastes that almost irritate your mouth. But although this is not your question, I can tell you he is getting better check-ups now than he has ever had.
