This gorgeous Russian lacquer box is hand painted by the professional and talented artist from the village of Kholui, signed. Design: Mermaid, Underwater World. Papier-mâché, a lid has painted over mother of pearl of an abalone shell, tempera, multi-layers lacquer finish, hinged signed on the bottom.
