"So congratulations. You're married to a rock star."
First I want to start off by saying this book deserves 50 stars. ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★...It is probably one of the best written books I have read, one of the best rock star books I have ever read. It was a breath of fresh air. From the start I loved the story. They get wasted or Ev gets wasted and gets married to a total bada$$,sexy rock star. Doesn't remember, wakes up married and wants a divorce. Then she goes home and has to deal with all the drama and then she flies out to David to get it over with. Little do they both know, they don't want this to be over. WE don't want this to be over!! I loved David, he was probably the most sexiest and wonderful book boyfriend and rock star out there.I mean, I love Kellan Kyle, but DAMN.....David Ferris kind of took it up a notch. Granted, he had his moments where I wanted to shake him. But pretty much the entire book he was amazing, sweet, caring, wonderful, I could go on and on. He never pushed Ev, they were the perfect couple from the start. They have this connection and get each other. Just from one night together. They are both hilarious, Mal is hilarious, this book is hilarious! And takes you on this journey of true love, growing up, maturing, loss, life, love, hard decisions, good decisions, bad ones. Ugh, I could go on and on about this book, seriously. Everyone MUST read this AMAZING book. That's all I've got to say, you will not be disappointed. I truly hope there is more. I could never get sick of this man, or these two. I want babies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Some quotes I loved:"So congratulations. You're married to a rock star.""Because she's really busy hiding around the corner, listening. I can't disturb her now.""Seriously, I f^%$ing love your wife, man. She's awesome. Can I have her?""Why would we wanna start being conventional now, huh?""This is friendly. You should probably stop feeling my a$$, though, or I'm gonna get the wrong idea about us. Especially after that kiss in the car.""You put me over your shoulder, you idiot. Of course I'm all over you."(These two are hilarious!)"So if I kiss you, you might remember what we were like together.""And this kiss is for the purpose of scientific research?""You're going to use that now, aren't you? Anything you want something you're going to throw it at me.""Hey, you started it. You wanted to kiss me for scientific purposes.""It was for scientific purposes. A kiss between friends for reasons of pure logic.""I like you the way you are, blurting out whatever s^&* crosses your mind. Not trying to play me, or use me. You're just....being with me. I like you.""You asked me this morning in the car if I thought you were scary. The answer is yes. You scare me s*&^less. I don't know what I'm doing here. But I hate the thought of leaving you.""AM I now? They're love songs, baby. Love isn't always smooth or straightforward. It can be messy and painful,""Doesn't mean it isn't still the most incredible thing that can ever happen to you. Doesn't mean I'm not crazy about you.""I'm crazy about you too. You're beautiful, inside and out, David Ferris.""Do you, Evelyn Jennifer Thomas, agree to stay married to me, David Vincent Ferris?""I'd hate you for forgetting all this when it's meant everything to me.""It's you and me against the world.""David, for f%$#'s sake, I'm in love with you."Damn the consequences, you know you can probably fly. If you can't, imagine the thrill of of the fall."It's that simple. Forget the rest and stop giving the pizza dirty looks or you'll hurt it's feelings."(LMAO)"No, it'sf fine. And, I mean, legally the bed is still half yours,"(HILARIOUS!)"But I married you, Evelyn, because you made sense to me. We make sense. We're a whole lot better together than apart. You notice that?""We've got forever."

SO GOOD.
I really LOVED Lick! So much. For so, so many reasons. And I wanted to give it 5 out of 5 stars, but there are a few things that nagged me in this story that I can't let go and so I'm giving it a 4 out of 5- which is still VERY GOOD! :D****SPOILERS***************SPOILERS****************SPOILERS**** So please don't read any further if you don't like them! Here's what nagged me:1: I wish Evelyn would have remembered more bits and pieces about their night/wedding in Vegas throughout the story. I don't like that she doesn't seem to have much of an emotional connection to that night like David does. I realize this is because she "blacked out" from all the drinking she did, but I personally would have like that as the story progressed- she remembers more bits and pieces- and not just remember them- but also recall feeling the same type of connection that David felt for her.2: I wish David would have divulged more about that night as well, and explained even more than he did- what all it was that drew him to Evelyn- so much so that he asked her to marry him after only just having met her basically. (I'm a believer in love at first sight. I "bought" that he felt something so strong for Evelyn right away and just decided to jump head first with her, and she with him, then get to know each other later. I personally just wanted to be given more insight into the entire night/wedding and each of their emotions.)3: I didn't like that David couldn't, or rather just chose not to, explain everything to Evelyn right there and then after she saw what she saw after the concert in the small room backstage. It wouldn't have been unreasonable in the slightest that Evelyn immediately turned and ran out, but no- she stood, gave him the benefit of the doubt and gave him a chance to explain- begged him too practically, but yet he didn't. And I did not like that. :\ There just wasn't any good enough reason or "obstacle" for him not to. Up to that point he seemed to be a pretty good communicator, as was she, so I was frustrated that he didn't just take her hand and go explain everything to her in private right there and then.4: I don't like that David still wore the diamond earring. But okay.... let's say he just kept it in all these years because it was already there and in a way even forgot/didn't think about the earring. But when Evelyn noticed the earring and asked if it had any meaning, why didn't he just tell her about it, or in the very least- take it out and get rid of it like later that day or the next. That should of been something he wanted and felt compelled to do once Evelyn had asked him about it, especially if he truly was over Martha- which it's made quite clearly, especially by the end of the story, that he most definitely was. So obviously that whole earring thing was for conflict/dramatic effect. Nothing wrong with that at all as long as it works. In my opinion it didn't.5: And finally I did not like that David didn't explain to Evelyn about who Martha was and their past history, right from the get-go. Evelyn would've understood. Probably wouldn't of liked it all that much, but she would've understood, especially since Martha is Ben's sister and they're like family. I mean come on- he had to have known she would find out eventually somehow and that would not go down well at all- for the one simple fact that he didn't tell her who Martha was from the beginning. Withholding information is dishonesty in its own way. But again, this was obviously part of the story for dramatic effect, and again- it didn't work for me. Oh and one other thing..... that he asked Martha to look out for Evelyn during the concert- so not cool- especially because Evelyn was CLUELESS to who Martha was because David was keeping it a secret!I know there will be more books in this series, but I'm thinking they will be the stories of the other band members like Mal or Jimmy, which I would certainly like to read without a doubt. However, I am hoping the next book will still be about David and Evelyn's story. While Lick was overall a really beautiful, emotional love story with a great HEA that I LOVED, I still feel there's more to be told. I'd like all of the above things that I didn't like about the story in this book to be part of the next one- as in reflected upon and discussed in more depth between David and Evelyn. If that happens then this book will become a 10+ for me! :D And since it is just the start of their marriage and life together, and the fact that they have so much more to learn about each other- there's still SO MUCH MORE of their story to be told, in my opinion. There's enough there for one more book for sure. And an even more fabulous HEA for David and Evelyn. :DHere's what I loved:ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I know I just complained a lot about certain aspects and parts of this story- I'm quite picky that way, lol! - but let me be crystal clear- 'LICK' IS A GREAT, SEXY, BEAUTIFUL, EMOTIONAL & REALLY WELL WRITTEN ROCK N' ROLL LOVE STORY. I could NOT put it down. I read a lot of books, and I forget a lot of them, but this one I will not. In fact, after I read 'This Man Confessed' by Jodi Malpas, I'm going to reread 'Lick'. And then I wouldn't be surprised if I reread it again after that!Kuddos, BIG TIME, to Kylie Scott!!!!PS: I love David Ferris. :D

Awesome
I read this book awhile ago, and at the mo I've been in a bunk funk so I thought I might reread a few I remembered and good thing I did. This book is awesome, I wld love to take a trip to Vegas and wake up married to a rock star hahahaha I'm sure this is every girls fantasy hahahaThis story just goes through the process of what happens to famous people, all the paparazzi harassing you, running away frm reality, because she was normal it showed how she was adjusting to all the fame but what I really liked and I don't remember thinking about the first time I read this book, the fact that all the fame didn't go to her head, she stayed true to who she was and also learned things about herself that she never realised. It was awesome to read this story frm a different point of view.I loved it

very smooth
The girl has talent! Differently young adult. College common sense.Coherent writing and grammar. Very smooth, solid, tight read, well balance tension, heady, warmly endearing, believable characters, good pace right through, interesting side characters. Mostly kept the focus on the main couple, no distractions. Sex the same as anywhere on the planet, just have say hate it when it is too out there, out in space and out of mind. Simple is always best to be believable. Falling in love is never what it should be. It's always a surprise.

What happens in Vegas..
