It is a wired CCTV system so not quick to set up, but really straightforward with good instructions. Just plan your installation as you may require fewer holes and combine cable access areas in the end I came down to just two entry points.Everything worked immediately and the app quickly gained control looks impressive yet discreet much more than I was expecting for the price really impressed. Night Vision is excellent. We intend to let run permanently in the hope we will never need to look at it but secure in knowing it’s there.

This system is perfect for homes and small businesses, great movement detection and HD day/night vision. Each camera is physically fully adjustable to ensure you can position it to view the desired area. The default installation configuration is good enough for you to protect your home/office, but each camera channel is has a comprehensive configuration menu to enable you to select, operation time, trigger sensitively, trigger zones, email alerts and intruder deterrents (flashing and permanent lights).The App for Laptop has all the capability of the console and remote viewing using the mobile phone App is great.

I had this system professionally installed. I had some problems with one of the cameras but the tecnical assistance from swan is very good and the problems sorted. The user manual is rubbish as it does not , in my view, follow any logical sequence,, It also does not explain thinge clearly. this means that if you follow the instructions your not 100% sure if you have done the right thing. The camera problem s that I had were resolved by going to a screen option that is not even mentioned in the manual. If I buy another system in future it will be WiFi and not hard wired.

Picture quality is really good both through the day and also at night.Easy to adjust the settings and set up either manual recording or motion sensor recording. The app and notifications work perfectly so I can check my home when I'm not there.

I am very pleased that I have found this kit.As it is a CCTV system, I did not want Chinese, for obvious reasons. This is an Australian company that are now worldwide. A little more expensive than the Chinese versions but worth it for peace of mind.I will instal one or two cameras in my current house but this is really bought for when I move, as I really value my privacy and security. Even though not installed yet, I have already downloaded the software from their site, which was dead easy.

I bought this camera due to friends recommendation. I installed the cameras no problem, ran the cables, set up the dvr, camera working. The problem I am encountering is that the app will not connect to the cameras/dvr. I even ran a CAT6 cable from my router to the dvr but still not pairing. The night vision on the cameras are crap, at night I can barely see the garden through the cameras. I wouldn’t recommend this camera system. In fact take it from me who is an engineer/ tech with years of experience of installing cameras etc. this system is not wort €400 I paid, in my previous house I had a €60 Wi-Fi camera installed and was far superior to this Swann cctv.

Very happy with swann cameras system, brilliant HD footage on tv screen and smart phone apps, easy to install.

Much better systems out there for the money. The image quality on these are terrible, you would be much better off with one of the cheaper Chinese unnamed brands. Very letdown by the quality for such a well-known brand.
