Bewley'sIrish Breakfast Loose Tea

This is a brilliant tea blend - I drink a pot of Bewley’s Irish Breakfast tea every morning. The Irish drink more tea than the British and they like good tea. Bewley’s is a well known tea blender but is probably more famous as a coffee house. Bewleys Irish Breakfast is a blend of Assam and Darjeeling tea. The Assam gives the tea a strong bold flavour whole the Darjeeling (the Champagne of teas) adds some subtlety. Some Irish Breakfast teas are 100% Assam (very strong) but I prefer Bewleys. There are no African teas in the Bewley’s blend.The best way to enjoy this tea is to brew the tea in a teapot using loose tea. Use a ceramic pot and heat it before you start brewing your tea. My favourite is a London Pottery teapot (available on Amazon) with a strainer (no tea leaves in your cup). Put an appropriate number of spoons of tea in the strainer, in the pot. Add BOILING water. Let it brew for 4 to 5 minutes. Remove the strainer and enjoy…
