Hi! No, you can't mix acrylics with oil of any kind, because the medium your acrylic paint uses is not oil. It will curdle and it won't stick. Use a spray bottle with water, or an acrylic paint retardant, or even an acrylic gel. Golden makes all of these. Good luck!

Q: How do I get the top off the 2.5 fl. ounce Artisan medium? Can't do it.

You have got to push down hard and turn the cap at the same time. If you can't get it off, try using a rubber grip it wafer. Or you might try using pliers, or sometimes the inside of the handle of scissors. Once you do get if off, I usually put the top back on "loosely" and at angle so I don't have so much trouble the next time. Hope it helps.
