Will buy again. Nice flavor and freshness. A true light roast. Quality.

It brews really in espresso machine. It’s on acid and a great for the morning coffee as well as for a shot espresso.

Really enjoyed the bright, clean flavor of this light roast — the beans smell amazing and the coffee comes out smooth with no bitterness. It’s definitely high-quality and tastes fresher than most store brands. The only downside is the price for a 12-ounce bag; it feels a little expensive for everyday use. Overall, a very good coffee if you appreciate a lighter, more delicate roast.

I recently received my first online order—a 6-pack of Bright, with “tasting notes of blueberry, golden raisin, and lemon zest”. As someone who has enjoyed many of your espressos in New York, I was truly excited to bring that same experience home. However, I was quite disappointed with what I received. The package arrived on 7/19/25, and I noticed the expiration date is listed as 9/28/25. This raised some concerns, as I had expected freshly roasted beans, especially given Blue Bottle’s reputation for quality and freshness. Unfortunately, the coffee I received lacks the brightness and flavor profile I’ve come to associate with your brand—it tastes dull and flat, with no noticeable aroma, acidity, or complexity. I’m returning the entire order, as it does not reflect the standard I’ve experienced at your cafés. I wanted to share this feedback in the hope it helps improve the consistency between in-store and online experiences.

Was looking for a nice light roast when I can't make it in to my local specialty roaster but this is not it. Tastes like a generic almost medium roast. Not floral or fruity at all. Don't buy if you're looking for a light single origin flavor profile.

If you like bright flavors with a hint of citrus this is for you. They are not oily so they're good to use in a super automatic espresso machine. I'm not overly concerned about recent roast dates or robust crema... It simply tastes good to me and isn't terribly expensive.

We’re loving this coffee. The freshness really stands out and the light roast lets the natural color and flavors shine through. The blend has a nice balance, with just the right touch of acidity that keeps it bright without being sharp. It’s easy to grind and brew, and each cup has a smooth, uplifting taste. Ended up ordering another bag in a different flavor because it’s become our favorite cup to start the day.
