Alba Botanica sunscreen has been our favorite for years. We order the lotion for face application, and after a full week of vacation at the beach, using this, none of us burnt! Will continue to order this sunscreen as long as we can.

I bought this because every sunblock I own eventually gets in my eyes and burns the living daylights out of them. I prefer to use something that isn't laden with chemicals, is cruelty free and reef safe so this looked like it would fit the bill and indeed, it does.It is a true "no tears" formula which I very much appreciate. As with so many zinc based sunblocks there's still a slight "Kabuki mask" effect but it isn't as bad as some of the other zinc products. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's easy to spread because it doesn't have a lot of "slip", doesn't glide like the non-zinc products. You do have to work with it for awhile to get rid of the decidedly chalky consistency but once you get going it seems to be okay. I think somebody else mentioned using a moisturizer before you put it on which seems like good idea even though this is supposed to be moisturizing.Would I purchase this again? I'm pretty sure I will because the "no tears" aspect of the product is important to me. I'll probably use it with a light carrier oil on my face first, let that oil sink in and then put this on top. We were looking for a sunscreen with pleasant smell for our particular little one. This was perfect! And no burns all summer, yay!

This is very lightweight. My daughter was breaking out from her other sunscreen. She does not break out from this one. This has been my go to sunscreen for my face too. It stays in my purse to reapply for daily use.

Easy to apply but not as protective as mineral based sunblocks.

Goes ion creamy with no white cast; smell is faint so quite tolerable

Don't forget to cover up. Some sun exposure is beneficial for you, but you can't stay in it all day without cover up or sunscreen. This brand is pretty good. I have not had any issues or reactions. It also smells awesome. It goes on smooth and it doesn't leave a white residue afterwards.

I've used this for my self and my grandkids for years. Love the smell. Love that it is tear free, won't run and burn your eyes. Non-greasy and absorbs easily.
