Armour Lard Star Tubs, 16 Oz

This is high quality lard from a respect company. Great for pan frying of any meat. I use it for making my own sausage to add a little moisture the the grind when stuffing casings. Have used in on venison, pork, and beef sausage, and on combinations too. Better than using corn or canola oil. Keeps indefinitely in the icebox. Excellent bang for the buck!

My grandmother made wonderful pies, and lard in the crust was her secret for flaky pastry. I keep this lard in my freezer for baking. (Necessary for yummy British Lardy Cake, also.) This is a dependable brand.

The Lord is great for bread but it has other ingredients in it and that’s the only thing about it I don’t like

What a rip off. This is way overpriced and small, and. They do not advertise that it is non-refundable anywhere in their listing AT ALL! I have an unopened tub of this and need to return it because i found it half the cost through walmart, it said elible to return and then ocean you click on it to return it, THEN it says sorry can't be returned. That is misleading and wrong. This company is a scam!

Should have read the ingredients closer. This is not pure lard. It is easier to melt and cook with but the added ingredients to make it shelf stable are a turn off
