Best stool I've tried
I've tried many stools, this one is the best! Perfect height for me (I'm 6'1") I've had some lower back pain issues, so I haven't been able to stand very long to play gigs. I've used a drum throne, but it's much heavier. This one folds up nicely and holds up to 300 lbs (I'm 250) so it feels stable. The pad is firm and comfortable. The guitar stand part works fine for me. However, I don't use the back rest. I lean forward when playing, and the back rest gets in the way when transporting the stool.

One of the best guitar accessories I have ever bought
I worked at a music store for a number of years and saw many Gator products. I was always impressed with their high quality and this is no different. I have severe adult degenerative scoliosis and as one of the consequences have chronically tight hamstrings which makes it painful to sit on several surfaces. I play guitar for my Church and was using a wooden stool with little cushion. It was getting too painful to use it and I needed to find something else to use. I did a lot of research and thankfully found this one. It has a very well cushioned seat and is very stable and well built. I seldom use the attached guitar stand as I sit through the whole service. However I felt comfortable leaving my guitar in it the few times that I did. The only ding I would give it is that the rubber tubing that is used for protecting the guitar when it does sit in the stand wasn't cut too accurately and so the tubing came off easily. A little bit of superglue took care of that problem. I wholeheartedly recommend this product. Edited 10-06-23 The stool folds very easily and is compact and easy to carry. It securely holds a Taylor 12-fret 12 string as well as myself and it is stable. I'm about 5 ft 7 inches.

Solves common backless guitar stool problem, but has design flaws.
I’m 6 ft tall and weigh 210 pounds. I’m closer to 60 years old than 40 and I play 6 days a week for an average of 3 hours a session. I bought this stool because the common guitar and amplifier brand stools (Marshall, Fender, etc) look great in a studio but have an almost useless amount of padding. So I put this thing together in 5 minutes; no tools required. Manufacturers boxing comes with almost no padding so the box was crushed in several places upon delivery. Thankfully, product arrived unscathed but I feel lucky about that issue. Chair and backrest padding is nice and thick, but not soft so if you expect a cushion that gives right out of the box you will be disappointed. That being said this thing is built like a piece of heavy duty gym equipment so cushions might just need some breaking in. When I first sat down the chair pad was set fairly low and the moment I leaned just slightly forward the back of the chair tipped forward off the floor. Looking closely at the design, the front leg bar of the stool is set too far back for someone of smaller stature. Once I slid the chair pad up, which moves the pad back from the front leg bar, I was able to alter the weight distribution enough to counter the chair tipping, but if you are a shorter person you are going to have a problem if you lean forward. Backrest is adjustable but again, not soft, and you only have two settings with a 1 inch difference. I’ve been sitting in this chair typing this review and I’m already uncomfortable leaning back against the rest, it just doesn’t have the perfect setting for me. But when I grab a guitar and get settled in, this chair resolves most of the issues of playing on a typical logo topped guitar stool. If these cushions start to break-in I’ll be much happier. Built in guitar stand is a nice touch. If price is an issue, I’d pass on this. But if you really need a backrest and you are of average height and weight, and you play for extended periods of time, you could very well find this a great studio chair.

Deluxe = Wide seat, stability and adjustability.
I got the deluxe and the regular stool with the back rest. The deluxe is definitely worth it. Returned the stool. Stools ok but feels like the seat is small and you sit up high it’s not bad just ok. But the deluxe was really nice. I like the wider seat you feel like it’s more stable than the stool and the adjustability is great. Just make the upgrade you won’t be disappointed. If you need something portable maybe the stool but otherwise just go with the deluxe. Overall the deluxe just feels more stable, comfortable, and more customizable. Also the foot rest on the deluxe is perfect compared to the regular stool. Just overall better and worth the extra price IMHO. Only drawback the seat feels a little stiff but it’s new I expect it to wear in. I still give it 5 stars.

Solid and comfortable…Gator Works has a great guitar stand/stool
Gator Works Guitar Seat is probably the best available on the market. It is Sturdy, Comfortable and for the most part, easily transportable. I wish the seatback had a hinged instead of the Solid 90 degree metal back support. The seat and frame fold up easily by pulling one release pin. The seat back rests on the thick metal rectangular tube and inserts beneath the seat. When you release the pin and fold up the seat, the seat back stays at a 90 Degree angle from the seat. If it were hinged, it would be so much easier to totally fold up for transport. The seat back bracket attaches underneath the seat with a metal channel and a nice T screw adjustment screw. Last but not least, the built in guitar stand unfolds easily and supports your guitar nicely. All in all, an awesome asset for any gigging player.

Good quality.
I’ve used this chair for several gigs now. It’s comfortable and good quality. I feel as though the guitar stand could be reworked a tad to fit different sized guitars, but it works nonetheless. Great product i would recommend it.

Super siège notamment pour les costauds. Fonctionnel et pratique pour le transport. Il me sert pour jouer dans des concerts sur des temps longs et permet une station debout rapide si besoin.

Very happy. Quick to put together and the right height for me for playing. Am 5'10" and no problems at all. Footrest also in right place for me. Guitar stand function also fine with nice bit of soft cloth where the neck of the guitar rests. Great quick delivery in spite of COVID.

Jag tycker om att sitta med raka ben. Det är tyvärr inte möjligt med den här stolen då den är för hög. Höjden går inte att justera. Blev en retur. Trist.

So easy to set up ! Feels v sturdy (I’m not a small guy). Played 2.5 hour gig sat down and was v comfortable. Really handy that it doubles as a stand. I mainly record so very pleased that it is quiet ( no squeak!)
