Gold Highlighter DUST (7 Grams) (7 Grams Net. Container) by Oh! Sweet Art Corp

I've been making cakes for 15 years and this is one of the best gold luster dusts I've used. It is a true metallic gold color. If you aren't an experienced cake decorator, do some research before buying and then leaving 1 star reviews on a product that is actually pretty darn great if you know what you're doing and buying.Firstly, this product is sold by weight. 7 grams is actually a lot if you know how to use the product. It is however still only 7 grams. The container holds more than 7 grams so It will of course not be full. If it came in a 7 gram container, it would be much smaller, hard to handle and use.Secondly, the description states the item is non edible but this is because it is not FDA approved for human consumption in the U.S. ALL metallic cake decorations along with ALL glitter dust is technically non edible. They are however non toxic and in small quantities will not harm most people if ingested.Leaving a bad review on a really great product because of your own lack of understanding and research of said product isn't fair to the seller or potential buyers.

I purchased this hoping to use it to create a gold drip, but apparently it is NOT EDIBLE. Go onto the original sellers website and it will tell you that this item is not for consumption. The other reviews show people putting it on cakes, but perhaps that’s because amazon does not state that this item cannot be eaten. So disappointed...

This is not edible gold dust. It clearly states on their website that it is not meant for consumption. Unfortunately it is not mentioned on Amazon. Please don't use this on your cakes and desserts - It has a very strong metallic taste and god alone knows how many carcinogens!

Awesome stuff! After a failed application of luster dust, I ordered this. It's a tiny little jar but it really goes a long way. I did 30 unicorn horns and ears plus the smash cake and six star cookies. Still have more than half of the jar left! I might have mixed up too much as well.

My first reaction after mixing this with alcohol was “WOW” It is a true gold color. Similar to 18K. If you’re looking for a gold leaf alternative or substitute this is it. I’ve tried many golds including Wilton’s, Edible Art, Sweet Sugarbelle. None of them are as true a gold as this. This gold is absolutely gorgeous! Paired side by side with an 18k ring
