about 7 inches and yes i recieved a magaizine how ever i order through eagle moss drirectly its a few bucks cheeper and you always get a magazine. i have orderd from amazon before and did not recieve the magazine. how ever in the sellers defence, the magazine was not listed as part of the pakage. sometimes ships are cheaper if it dose not come with the magazine
