How to Draw Figures Simple Anatomy, People, & Forms for Beginners (How to Draw Everything)

This is a great short book for a beginner. Simplified and straight forward. It's a great foundation to start with. More variety would be nice.

I love this step book because it’s just that. It skips a lot of fluff reading and gets right to the meat and potatoes. The steps are very clear and they follow nicely from the end of the last step to the beginning of the next step. Don’t worry that the samples are ballerinas; the point is to learn how to construct drawing with the basic building blocks. I LOVE this book!

The book was very simple and gave a good foundation for learning figure drawing. There were a lot of spelling mistakes though. The book is largely visual so it doesn’t really make a difference. If you want to learn more than the very basics (and I mean VERY basics) look into another book. But if you just want a reference guide to casually learn from, this is good.

She is like a lot of my family, artistic and loves to draw. But she’s unsure so got her this. I hope it helps.

It’s nice in that the breakdown of the figures to simple lines and circles to start makes it very easy to draw and helps to build confidence. Where I’m a little disappointed is that the “finished” figures leave you with basic circles or hands and no faces. I would have liked a little more in that area. Even just a very rudimentary hand and face would have been helpful. Also, I would have liked to have both male/female examples for each to see and understand the differences in the forms. It’s not bad for what it is. Just wish it was better. My search continues.

I bought this to learn reference drawings so that I can do it manually instead of copying from a program. I already did some by following the step by step, which is annoying but I understood enough. I even copied some from Google and they came out good.I want to illustrate my own comic and this is giving me the basic foundamental to positioning, which will make drawing easier.

Ce n'est pas du tout pour débutants. C'est un style particulier qu'on voit dans les écoles d'art.Des rond et des carrés encore une fois, qui n'aide pas du tout à dessiner les courbes d'une personne.

Good easy to follow and understand daughter loves it

This was great. Honestly! I went from stick men, to ballerinas, to ballerinas with bigger boobs.I added extra.This book doesn't take you further from rough sketches. No faces, only rough outlines. But it helps with form.Would recommend. 10/10

これは、絵を描く為の初歩の本だが簡潔で理解し易い、立つ立ちポーズ、座りポーズダンサーの踊ってるポーズ等、沢山あるが重要なポイントは、両肩、肘、腕、脚の付け根の骨膝､踝を円で囲み､線で結ぶ事で全身像を捉えている。余り､難しく考え無いで描くのも良いと思う。初心者にも参考になると思う。
