This years (2025) Spring Green have been exceptional. Some of the ones I've had have looked a bit rough because they were on the big side but washed chopped cooked (not boiled to death) drained then seasoned with a good dollop of butter and either back pepper or grated nutmeg they taste delicious. Ive been eating them every day.

Spring greens. We used to call it spring cabbage. I used to stay at my nans on Saturday nights, wake up to her already starting the Sunday dinner, listening to Ed Doolan and having a glass of whiskey (yeah, she loved some whisky on Sundays! She lived through the blitz though, she deserved to do whatever she wanted, I'm not judging!). Before dinner was ready, she'd pour me a cup of the water used to boil this stuff, throw in some salt, and I'd have a cup of cabbage water before dinner. The word cabbage makes it sound horrible, but I still to this day love a cup of cabbage water - that's why I bought this, to relive one of those Sundays. I gotta say though, it seems I'm accustomed to things being overcooked, because this was nowhere near done to how I like it based on the cooking time they suggested on the packet. Anyway, yeah, loved these spring greens! Really brought me back to the late 80's. Nice!
