Fantastic Brush Alcohol Markers
These Spectrum Noir "Brush" markers are fantastic! Although I still love my copics, but these markers are really wonderful to work with and having the tri-colors in one pen makes the blending process so much easier. These markers are also really great for folks who have never used alcohol markers before....the coloring experience is extremely enjoyable. It's also great to have the full color range of these brush markers which includes the Spectrum Noir Extended collection. I know they are a bit pricey but worth having in your collection.

These markers ROCK! Blending Bliss!!!!
I always spend too much time looking at color blends. This with that, that with this, no, this looks better. Well, these markers make that choice a lot easier. I have always been puzzled why art supply companies don't suggest which colors blend best. Looking at your PrismaColor pencil set.So, I am getting the extended set to add to this base set and will let you know how it goes. I usually use Chameleon blending markers, but they are not on the market anymore, so Spectrum Noir, you have a new customer and fan. Keep supporting the markers, and I will keep supporting you.

A Good Addition To Art Supplies
With the exception of a couple little details, these alcohol ink pens are great and those details are more of my personal preference. I prefer this set over the "bullet nib" option as I feel coloring large areas with the bullet nib is like running your fingernail over a chalkboard. The brush nibs are more flexible. The 72 colors option is great especially for blending but there a couple of very light colors that the dark is too dark to "blend" and I found using only 2 colors to blend, light/medium or medium/dark is a better finished look. (If you try to use the 3 shade blending method, you will use significant ink of the "light" section to achieve the blended finish. The good part is that the "light" segment of the pen is the larger of the 3 sections and if necessary, you can order a replacement pen of the desired 3 shade color.) You can see from the picture, the flowers are the "Pale Pink Blend" with the bottom flower using all 3 shades and the top flower I used only the light and medium shades. On the leaves, I used all three shades of Alpine Green Blend. The flamingo is depicting the Bright Pink Blend pen w/ all three shades. The other minor issue is the box they arrive in. I like the color chart on the exterior side of the box but the 3 layers of pens make it a little tedious to grab the color you want. My goal is to find a container that will hold the pens for easier access. (I have another brand of alcohol pens that came in a zippered pouch and a separate color chart you create yourself for easy reference but of course, that only makes the set more expensive.)

Easy to use for beginner colorist
These are so quick and easy to use in terms of selecting colors. I have a complete set of Spectrum Noir markers with the fine and blunt tip ends and the Brush tips are a big improvement. You have to be careful when looking at sets to make sure it is the brush tip if that is what you want. I am just trying to learn how to shade and color and have included an image of my first attempt using an IMALA stamp. The dress features the three colors in the blue, pink, orange and blue green pens. I chose a striped effect, not the best example of a blended technique. I used the three colors of one pen for the face and I think you can see how well they blended. It is just a first amateur example with much room for improvement but at least acceptable for using in a project. She has a little too much blush for my liking lol. I did a lot of shopping and Amazon had the best price even with discounts I get on other craft sites. Highly recommend these not having to spend time selecting which colors to blend is a real timesaver.

Ridiculously amazing marker
These are a step up and worth every penny. I have been doodling with colored markers for years, and had all but given up on brush points after using Tombows. These babies are in a whole other level. The flex in the tip makes for immaculent control, smooth flow and no bleed whatsoever. They blend remarkably well, and having 3 gradients in one marker is just brilliant! I have been putting this set through it's paces for over two months, daily and they are as bright and consistant as the day I opened the box. A word of caution: buy these and you are decending into the rabbit hole that is all things Spectrum Noir. You're gonna want everything else thay make also. Life is short, doodle hard

Wish I'd gone this route in the first place
There's not a single dud in the bunch. I love the juicy colors and the 3-in-1 space-saving style. The quality of the nibs is excellent, much better than the other brands I've purchased. Very happy with my purchase. Pricey, but worth it, imo.
