Definitely your money's worth for a reliable mid-sized power supply
This is a moderate power supply, and non-modular, but it is very inexpensive for what you get. I was building a lower end gaming rig. Nothing like the newest GPU, not the latest and greatest CPU. But, the case needed a power supply. I didn't want to buy anything fancy, so I spung for a brand I have used before and I got this. Install was simple it fit the existing slot just perfect, screws line up as expected. It had more than enough power cables for all my needs, and adapters that I didn't need incase I add hard drives or other things in the future. It is quiet, I can't hear the fan running. It runs flawlessly, at least I have no reason to think it doesn't. It is one of those things you don't notice when they are working properly, and I don't notice this at all. It just works. And for the price, it is a deal.

Works great.
Good little psu for my office pc build. Will be getting another for my bench rig. Just a basic psu but works fine and is quiet.

Great choice for $600 and below PC's
Don't believe the hate, this power supply has never failed me. I've bought it used, and it always performs as expected. Top budget PSU in my opinion. The PSU can handle 3070s, and the cables aren't too stiff, which makes the cable management easier compared to other options.

Junk (updated)
UPDATE: Turns out I misdiagnosed the problem. A different power supply booted this computer right up, so I assumed the problem was this power supply. But, eventually the computer started doing the same thing with the other supply installed. Apparently, something must've happened to the motherboard when the original power supply died. The computer was shutting off when TrueNAS tried to start the RAM drive. The solution was to bump down the speed of the RAM one notch. Now everything is working fine and I put this power supply back into the computer. I put this in my NAS running TrueNAS on an Asus motherboard with a Core i7 2600, the OS running on an SSD, four hard drives, and using the built-in video of the CPU, so no video card. 500 watts should be plenty to run this. This power supply would only power on the computer for the BIOS check, then immediately shuts off. I'd return this piece of junk, but I already threw away the box. So now I'm stuck with it.

A Reliable Powerhouse
For starters, It's a Thermaltake product so you know you can't go wrong. I recently got my hands on the Thermaltake Smart 500W PSU, and I must say, it's an excellent power supply unit for my PC. This PSU is 80+ White Certified, which means it's energy-efficient and can help save electricity. One thing I really appreciate about this PSU is its reliability. It delivers a steady and consistent flow of power to my computer components, ensuring smooth performance even during intense gaming sessions or demanding tasks. Installation was a breeze, thanks to its user-friendly design and clear instructions. The cables are well-organized and labeled, making it easy to connect everything properly. The 500W power output is more than enough to handle my mid-range gaming rig and other peripherals. I haven't faced any issues with power shortages or overheating. The PSU is SUPER quiet, and I barely notice any noise even when my PC is running at full capacity. The 80+ White certification is a significant plus, as it ensures that the PSU is energy-efficient and helps reduce my electricity bill. So it's a great eco-friendly choice. The only two reasons I'm giving it four stars instead of five is that the cable length could have been a bit longer and some might need more power in larger gaming builds. For some PC setups, it might require cable extensions, especially in larger cases. Cables were sufficient in my case as I have a Micro ATX set-up. 500W was great for my Mid-range gaming system as I think I am only running about 450Watts. Larger more higher-powered builds will probably go well above the 500W mark especially if they are overclocking those builds.

Works good for an old PC
For the price it works great. I have a cheap Thermaltake 500W from 2012 still going strong so hopefully this one is as good.

Still holds up very well and it’s been about 4 years I’ve been using this.

very quiet and has all the needed connectors
This is a quiet power supply when not under load and is not too loud under load. It was a perfect replacement for my 20+ year old 500W supply, having plenty of molex and sata connectors and modern video card power connectors.
