Noticeably improved over OEM. That filter cap tightens easily and more importantly comes off easily as well. Looked hard for a solid replacement because my original Aeropress was kaput. I’ve owned it for 5 years and use it daily for my morning Americano or a double espresso. This filter cap and plunger work better than the original. Worth the $8 upgrade.

I think I accidentally knocked my original cap into the trash or somethin because it just disappeared! This cap is just like the one out of the box. Fits just right. Nothing fancy but definitely not worthless. Gets the job done so I can have my coffee!

After making the classic mistake of leaving my AeroPress filter cap in the trash can, I purchased this 3rd party cap with some trepidation. No need, this is actually better than the original filter cap. The original had a very tight tolerance and would be very hard to remove when heated up by the coffee. This has a looser tolerance that allows me to clean my AeroPress right after making coffee, but still tightens up at the end of the rotational travel so that it performs the function of keeping a seal on the filter when pressing. Overall this has led to a better experience and I'm glad I purchased this one over the original cap.

I must have been tired and thrown out my original strainer with my coffee grounds one day. Looked all over my kitchen and it was gone. This came in a few days and works great.
