Although this pillow took a little adjustment, it is probably the best pillow I've ever had. The first two nights I slept on it as it came from amazon. I slept well, but had a little problem with my ear falling asleep and having some ear discomfort. If I keep my head in the depression, instead of rolling over on the raised part on the sides, this isn't a problem. Although the filling is soft and fluffy, it has a lot of support. I decided to take just a little fluff out of the sides and the part under my neck. That slightly reduced the firmness and I have slept very well since. UPDATE: The longer I use this pillow the more I love it. This is the opposite of most pillows I've tried which I might like for a while and then start having the same problems. This pillow has helped me have the best sleep I have had in years. I'm thinking about buying another just to make sure I have another if anything were to ever happen to this pillow. This pillow is the absolute best back sleeper pillow you could ever get. The support is amazing and it is so comfortable. It makes it easier to sleep on your back. I usually lie on my back till the moment I am drifting off and then roll onto my side. Once I learned how to position my head on the pillow, side sleeping was comfortable, too. I am waking up with much less pain. I wouldn't necessarily say it is perfect for side sleeping, but it is still the best pillow I have tried. Over the past 5 years, I have bought at least 10 different pillows trying to find one that was comfortable. Unless something unexpected happens, I won't be buying another. This is the pillow I have been looking for. I highly recommend this pillow.

My stiff neck is slowly getting better... Was it this pillow? Or the fact that I've been working out my shoulders so they get stronger? Maybe both. I've been using this pillow for a month now and don't feel like I need to switch. When I received it, I used it as is for a couple of nights, but my neck and cheekbones didn't like how dense it was. So I followed the directions and pulled out a bunch of stuffing then rearranged it, and now the neck support part is lower/softer, and the raised side areas are a tiny bit softer but still large enough to support my cheeks and temples. When I'm trying to fall asleep on my back, it helps me feel more comfortable because I can kink my head to the side and feel support against my cheek without the other side of my neck tensing (like it does when you fall asleep in an airplane seat). And when I sleep on my side, there's just enough give to feel supported but not forced. When I end up on my stomach (which I try to avoid), it's not very comfortable, but that's not this pillow's fault. Sleeping on my stomach sucks in general, and this pillow mostly helps avoid that. So that's good. There are a few issues I would like to bring up and maybe, hopefully, the company reads this: 1. The cotton cover is nice, but I can't remove it to wash it because then I'd have to take ALL of the stuffing out. So perhaps an extra inner cover would be helpful (maybe made of a more antibacterial fabric like bamboo or hemp). 2. The stuffing is regular polyester, so, perhaps they could think about changing the filling to a more environmentally friendly material. So, overall, a good pillow because it's adjustable, affordable, and apparently returnable (though I don't need to). I just hope this company can transition to more eco-friendly materials like organic cotton, hemp, bamboo, shredded latex, recycled polyester etc...

After years of working with bad posture (I used to use a design monitor that you draw on with a special pen and was looking down all the time) my neck had enough. Enter years of neck strain made worse by normal pillows. Suddenly all pillows felt like they were pushing my head upwards, making my neck feel so much worse. I’ve been through quite a few pillows and this is the only one that’s stood the test of time. Sometimes I still have to switch it out for rolled up towel. But overall this pillow has been the best sleeping solution. - Can adjust the filling based on your needs. I completely removed the filling from the “dip” area so there is nothing pushing my head upwards. - Plush filled areas for side sleeping provide support. Amazing to have this all in one pillow. - Sometimes the side sleeping areas encroach on my head when I’m on my back, I think because I’ve removed all the stuffing from the center “dip” area. They do push my head up slightly. Readjusting the filling helps. - Do need to periodically readjust the filling. The zippered openings make this easy. I’ll gladly have to perform some pillow maintenance for the relief it’s provided. - I use way less filling than came with the pillow. I’ve saved some but ended up tossing the rest. It was way too much! I think I ordered the standard firm version. Overall would recommend. Before I bought this pillow I was ready to frankenstein my own. If you’re looking for a pillow that doesn’t push your head up and as a bonus can also accommodate side sleeping, this is for you.

At first I wasn't sure. I thought I'd bought another dud! It took me a little while to get the level of stuffing right, but once I did it was great! I'm getting the support I need and a good night sleep. I'm glad I experimented with the stuffing heights to get it right and not ditched it straight away.
