We purchased this as we use thin sliced meats a lot for Japanese cuisine and it worked great. We froze the meat using some bags we got on Amazon and then sliced it and it worked great. It did arrive to us smelling like petroleum, but we took it all apart and washed it and all is fine. It can slice exremely thin like we wanted it.

Decent slicer
It slices meat pretty well so far, but it's quite heavy and sharp. Not the blade which is meant to be sharp, but the edges all over - where you would pick it up to move it. The lubricant they use on the metal smells awful and is a bit hard to get off before using. So far, pretty happy with how well it works overall.
