Q: Does this thermoscan have backlight so that I can take readings in the dark?

No it is not equipped with backlight. Although there is a yellow light indicator but it cannot show you the readings in the dark.

Q: Why does it show a picture of model 4520 , but the description says it is the 6500?!

you are right. it should be for 6500.for our store we buy 6500 model
