I received a no-cost upgrade!
I ordered just the top plastic cover. I received that cover (the better/original "grained" finish rather than the flat-black painted finish) plus new hinges/supports and the front trim bezel! Those additional items are usually part of kits starting around $45. The grained lid often sells for more by itself. A really great deal! I don't need the additional part right now, but as I've previously replaced both hinges and the lid, I will probably need them at some point (the last time was because internal mounting screws came loose, causing flex and breaking the hinge attachment points in the lid and one hinge). This time, I dropped the laptop on a corner. Cosmetic damage only, but it's easy and inexpensive to replace the shell. It even arrived in a timely manner! A GREAT buying experience!
