Look if you are reading this, why? This is one of these items that you either need it, or you don't. Wire receptacles? You need it. Otherwise maybe not so much. They fit in electrical screws better, as well as other screws that are similar. Worth every penny.

If you are doing, or plan to do, any electrical work involving receptacle or switches then these bits are a must-have item. These bits work so much better than using a standard slot or Philips-head when working with the screws found on switches and receptacles. They engage the screws and allow you to easily loosen and properly tighten the terminal screws without slipping or camming-out, especially when working on awkward angles which is often the case. After using an ECX-bit while doing some electrical work and being amazed at how well they worked, I ordered this 3-pack to ensure that I would have these bits available in each of my tool bags and bit-set cases.

These bits are customized to fit the screw head on electrical switches and outlets...and they work great for getting good, tight connections. Well worth buying if you are doing that kind of work...and these bits go the distance just fine.
