Q: How do you roll up and close the carrier?

You just start with the end that doesn’t have the strap and you roll it up. The extra snap is for if you want to wear it like an apron.

Q: What is the black and grey hollow thing in the kit

It is a pencil extender for when the pencils get too short to use

Q: I know the pouch is canvas, but what is the other material? Is it real leather?

It has a leather look but you obviously can see and feel it is plastic material. (in my opinion).But, for the price it is very nice.

Q: In the info it says "without sketchbook, canvas rolling pouch", but it also says " Each kit also comes canvas rolling pouch". Which is it?

Thanks for asking. This kit does includes the canvas rolling pouch, but it doesn't comes with a sketchbook.
