Almost speechless
This is not a day time use laser, let me get that out of the way. I knew that going in. As I do not like NVGs this is a good way to know what I'm aiming at at night if the situation arises. I have had the product only a few hours now and if anything changes I will edit this review.WOW!!!! I just saw a blue laser dot half a mile away on the mountain across from me. This thing is crazy strong. Bright, no subtle and powerful yes. Well subtle might not be the right word but for people not aware of blue rifle lasers they won't freak out when your playing with yours. Exceptional product so far. Came in working order and much smaller and already on the piccatny mount which is all a huge improvement kver a green laser it immediately replaced after I reviewed my previous one in a non operational state. My training up to this point made this purchase more of a 'cause it'll look cool on my rifle' than actually thinking it would be a permanent fixture I wouldn't ever dare of taking off my rifle. That immediately changed after using it.Amazing product. Great job scientists and engineers behind it.

Am I missing something?
EDIT 3/1/2016Changing my review to 5 stars as I removed the little piece of glass and the distance on this thing is incredible and very bright!!I'm not sure why everyone is giving this 5 stars... Debating on sending this back because even at night the laser doesn't really cover much distance. I wasn't it expecting anything crazy like 100 yards but I was at least hoping for 25 yards without the dot to appear widened and not very fine on target. This was at night. I wasn't expecting visibility during the day as another reviewer mentioned. Anyone that wants to comment or provide advice I would welcome recommendations because I seem to be the only one not satisfied. Did everyone else remove the cap that is glued onto the lens?

Great Laser but Unreliable Remote Pressure Switch
This laser is bright when the attenuation lens is removed and delivers a reasonably tight dot. The dot can easily be seen in late afternoon light conditions out to approximately 40yds. The constant on button switch works fine. The remote pressure switch worked briefly then quit. I don't like to have the beam constant on but instead prefer to indicate the target then have it go off. Having to press the button again can move the point of aim off target. A pressure switch is perfect for my desired use. This isn't a deal breaker but come on, how difficult can it be to make a remote switch that works for more than 1 minute? I don't want to return the laser but I do want a new switch. Amazon doesn't accommodate this option, as far as I can tell. I don't want to go through the hassle of returning the item, I want a switch that works. Ade Advanced Optics . . . can you hear me now? If the remote switch works for another customer I really am happy for you.

Pretty decent and very bright once you remove the protective dust cover lens.
It does what it's supposed to. I mounted this to a Mossberg Chainsaw 12ga. Originally I had it mounted on the side of the slide but the combo of recoil and shucking rounds into the chamber kept loosening the mount screws that hold it to the rail and it would fall off after about 3 shots. I moved it to a CDM Gear mount (in photos) that sits in front of the slide and after about 10 rounds it was ready to fall off again. I highly recommend using a drop of blue Loctite on the mounting bolts. After using Loctite I fired about 100 rounds and it hasn't fallen off or gotten loose at all. So, if you've read the q&a and reviews you may have read about the little lens you can remove to get some serious brightness out of this laser. At the center of the laser where the light comes through the front plate you'll notice a sort of white-ish lens cap with a reflective Mylar looking coating. It's tiny but I was able to grab it with my fingernails and twist it out counterclockwise. Doing so will make it real freakin bright. However, removing this cap also makes the laser susceptible to dust, oil, and water. In the 3rd photo I attempted to show that even with an 800 lumen TLR-1 light turned on you can easily see the laser indoors or outdoors at any range. As with most lasers I would not rely on them for daytime targeting. I sighted mine in at 25 yards with a bore site and event though it fell off the firearm more than once, it has kept great accuracy and has not had to be readjusted. Although it came with a pressure switch, I only checked to see if it worked, then tucked it back into the box since I don't plan to use it.Pros:Looks nice and is real bright after you remove the protective lens. -Almost bright enough to call it daytime visible (in the shade). Seems to take a beating and hold zero exceptionally well. Compared to other blue lasers on the market right now, the current price is very reasonable.Cons:In the first photo you will notice I have it mounted upside down (only because I want it on that side of the firearm where I can easily reach the elevation/windage adjustments). The elevation screw is at a perfect 6 o'clock position and the windage adjustment is at a perfect 9 o'clock. However on the front plate you'll notice that they overclocked the faceplate and the X & Y accesses that they marked, do not reflect the actual access (Y is pointing to 4 o'clock). Not a big deal for most people but it bugs me and it leads me to the next con... You won't find errors like that on American made products. Ade is a company based in Oregon but most, if not all, of their optics are made in China, including this laser. I tested this laser at out in the snow at a temperature of 18f and it did not perform well, however, they aren't marketing it as a "subzero" type laser. You have to remove the dust lens to make it bright. Dot is not round but more of an oval shape.Room for improvement:The holes for elevation and windage adjustment could use some rubber caps or plug to keep debris out. Would really like to see a quick release style mount on this laser.I originally planned to give it 3 stars but honestly, with a little Loctite, it does what it's supposed to and at a low price.

Read the instructions! Lol
The media could not be loaded. Pretty happy about what I got. Was everything I was looking for.. bright, easy to use. Took me a minute to figure out how to put it on but it works great, exceeded my expectations.

Save your money
I take the opinions here with a grain of salt. There seemed to be about as many positive as negative reviews so it is really difficult to get info you need. I followed the advise of some and removed the glass that seemed to reduce the visibility of the laser. This really had no impact. This laser light is so dim that it was difficult to see beyond 10-12 feet even in a dark room with no outside/inside light. There is not even really the cool factor as some mentioned as the laser was difficult to use for any purpose. I would advise against wasting any money on this product at this time until there is a significant improvement in the visibility.

Blue Violet Bright
I have both red and green lasers with the green being brightest of the two. Of course green is more visible than red, but this is about the blue laser. Bright, bright, bright! The sight housing is shorter than most and presents a compact package. I have not subjected to recoil, but have not had issues in the past.
