Easy to use ... lightweight
I bought this for my Canon EOS M50 ... it easily fits over the screen and is not heavy ... folds up for easy transport in my camera bag ... works like a champ.

Cumbersome
Anything that is sort of universal fit is normally just universally bad. And this is no different. I threw it away 5 minutes after receiving it because it's not worth the gad to drive to the Amazon return drop.

Does the Job
This is a nice and clever little product, and I really need something like that for my Sony Nex 5, but the flaps in the rear that attach to the back of your LCD screen with velcro do not fit my camera. So I was willing to take a chance and get creative. By cutting a slot on one half of the flaps, and cutting the other half short, I am able to fit the flaps around the back of the screen and attach them fairly well. Have not tried this out yet in the field, but experimenting with it at home it seems to be holding pretty well. My advice is to be sure you can wrap the connecting flaps around the back of your screen before you get this, but for me it seems to work.

Love this product!
I video racers all day long. Before I bought this, I would lose racers because of the glare of the sun. Now I can see the racer through the lens if it is snowing or very sunny outside. It is very easy to put on and take off. It also stores easily in my camera case.

What I Needed
It's perfectly on my Canon camcorder. Definitely comes in hand and shooting football games. Before I had to make a gaff tape hood. This works much better

Sewn wrong = unusable!
The flaps were sewn on the wrong side, making it unusable. No quality control here. Choose a different brand! Unfortunately I’m leaving for vacation today and can’t replace this before my departure. I should have tried it right away, but I assumed what I ordered would be what I got, not some wrongly made item that was never inspected before put up for sale.

It works
Always had a problem viewing Canon lcd screen in bright sun. No more, the Camvate hood works as advertised. Simple to install and remove. A essential add to camera accessories. EGP

Pretty good
The Velcro straps were a little short for the screen on my EVA1 added some Velcro and works great. For the price it was a great solution!
