Step by Step Dolls' House Furniture Projects in 1/12th Scale

This book is fantastic so far. I've created the first three projects in this series and I love it. The only downside I can see is that the measurements in the sections right before each project may be wrong for the inches part. I had to use the section at the beginning of the book to double check all measurements as I found that using the section only, made it where three drawers were wrong and didn't fit on one of the pieces.

This book is nicely done. There is good information for a true beginner, lots of color photos, and thorough, easy to follow, step-by-step instructions. It might be very helpful for a beginner who doesn't want to search for tutorials online. The items are very, very simple. Only a small handful of techniques and materials are used. For example there are several "wicker" type projects in the book and they all use the exact same material and the exact same technique. There are many wood projects that could have been more easily and affordably made with mat board or other materials. I had wanted to find a variety of techniques with a variety of materials to expand on what the author presents in her free and numerous YouTube videos.

I've completed about a third of the furniture projects in this book. detailed pictures and instructions to follow. measurements are all metric. my biggest complaint is that some of the measurements given don't fit in the final product. my solution was to cut pieces only when they were needed and I could check the measurements where they are supposed to fit. still, I'm having a boll making things.

Converting the measurements is impossible. I love the plans, but when I got done with the first [roject it was large enough for a Barbie size doll and not 1# scale. I don't have any way of converting back to inch's.

Absolutely wonderful book on making miniatures. Clear and beautiful pictures with fantastic instructions. This book will be used many times in my miniature making- I love it and would recommend it to anyone wanting to make their own dollhouse furniture.

I have watched Julie on YouTube for quite some time now, not realising that she had books printed until she mentioned in a few months back I knew if her YouTube tutorials were to go by her books would be as good, I am pleased to say it is even better than I thought :-) I can not wait to get started on projects from the book and I am hoping to buy the other two books written by Julie :-)

Ms Warren is an excellent teacher. Her info is logical and linear.My one critism is the print is WAY too small.

Love this book. A little pricey for my pocketbook but it's worth it! For a self-published book, it is done very professionally. Photos and instructions are outstanding!

Julie Warren’s books are like her online tutorials - clear, precise, concise and meticulous. She has such a talent for really excellent instruction and is evidently in love with her subject matter. I haven’t come across anyone else (and I’ve searched!) as good and who produces such helpful material. Essential reading for the student of miniaturism! 10/10

I now own most of Julie's books and purchase as full of beautiful projects with easy to follow instructions

Brilliant book, I have two of hers and fully intend to get the rest. Nice clear instructions and measurements. Also you are able to buy the materials from her Etsy shop, at a reasonable price.

What an absolutely brilliant book. I've never come across this much detail and advice. I have made three pieces of dolls house furniture using Julie's YouTube video's alone, now I have this first book there won't be any stopping me. If you've ever wanted to make dolls house furniture but thought you weren't capable, think again.
