Works Great
Perfect. Quiet up anything I put them on. Jointer, table saw, drill press and even my swamp cooler. No issues whatsoever. They will stretch enough to allow them to slip on your pulleys but I haven't had an issue with stretching over time. Even if it did, just remove a link down the road. Changing them is not like Legos for sure but it's certainly not difficult.

Easy to install
Work great was easy to install on my MF 165 tractor. Better than tearing g whole front end apart.

Great functionality offset by installation annoyances
This belt delivers what is claimed - vibration is reduced. I used the full 5' I ordered to connect a jackshaft to the headstock on an older Rockwell lathe, and the reduction after break-in is very noticeable. That said, it was not painless to install this belt and get it running smoothly. Partly due to being coiled up in its packaging, and partly due to just being very stiff (apparently a characteristic of the linked belt design when new), it had extreme reverse curl and like a spring, maintained that curl even after manually rolling it in tight coils and bends in the opposite direction. This, together with the long pulley to pulley distance in my situation made the assembled belt continually want to flip. The instructions say to remove 1 link for every 24 after measuring for fit, and that was fortunate because on initial measurement the five-foot length ordered was three links short of fitting, but after the adjustment I had one link left over. I should note that what I received was spot-on 5 feet long, new and unstretched, so no shortage such as other reviewers report. Anyway, the adjusted length seemed way too short to fit, and putting it on was a fight even without the belt wanting to flip inside out. Once finally installed I ran the machine at a fairly low RPM with no load for about 30 minutes, after which I had to remove two more links to restore proper tension, and now after a couple more hours it again needs another link or two removed. Clearly the belt needs to be broken in over time, and fortunately the springy reverse curl is lost relatively quickly, making belt removal and re-installation (e.g. when link adjustments for tension are needed) much, much easier than the initial installation.I have yet to see any signs of sufficient wear to anticipate any link failures, but it has only been a few hours run-time so far, and importantly, I am not taxing this 1/2" wide belt with more HP than it can handle (the lathe motor is just 1/2 HP). However, if a link does fail it should be easy to use spare links to make a repair, and unlike a broken fixed length belt, quickly return to operation. Two questions occur to me: first, why can't these belts be packaged coiled in the same direction as they will be when installed? At least then any coiled springiness before installation would be in a more useful direction. And second, why can't they be pre-stretched by the manufacturer before being packaged? Doing the first would likely help to greatly reduce the initial installation difficulty, and the second would also help reduce the necessary break-in period. That installation difficulty, and the need for multiple link adjustments during break-in, cost this otherwise great product one star.

Great price, even better quality
I purchased this belt based on the customer reviews. I though this was a novel concept and decided to give it a try. I have not been disappointed. My experience with power transmission belts has been primarily rubber v-belts. Going with a material of this nature would be a bit outside my wheelhouse. It has proven to work wonderfully. I am using this belt on my 1960's Rockwell-Delta wood lathe outfitted with a 1hp motor running on 230v AC single phase. It doesn't vibrate like you would think and it doesn't create any more noise than a traditional rubber belt.I had to reduce the belt length from 60" to 38"; doing so was fairly intuitive in spite of not having any instructions. The material is slippery and presented a bit of a challenge to my smooth faced pliers. My one concern is this belt does not fit completely down in the pully. It seems to be just wider than the old belt and rides a little higher on the flange. I will watch belt/pulley wear closely for the first few hours.

Selecting the rubber one would be better. Green vs/red
I failed to note what it was made of. The one I bought prior to this one was a green color and was made of a rubber/cord type. Both worked great it was just that the red poly type was harder to unlink and link. These belts cut vibration by 98%.

Works great, less vibration, strong material
The media could not be loaded. Great product, made to the length I need for building my project.

Saves hours of downtime
Used on a Case 480C backhoe instead of major disassemble for fan belt. Takes a little practice to assemble, but works great !!! Have to readjust after a little run time due to stretching of belt .All good !!!!
