It says on the bottle under Other Ingredients: Gelatin, kelp powder, water, and calcium stearate.

Not too large..slightly larger than an average sized capsule, but not too difficult to swallow.

Q: Why does this have iodine in it?

The iodine is in the kelp. Kelp is a source of many minerals required by such systems as the nervous system and thyroid including iodine.
