Reliable
I ordered this set to replace an old set that finally broke after 7 years. They are great for my needs, which is to serve as visibility flashers as well as a backup for my main light. The headlight puts out enough light to get by in a pinch. The tail light is made entirely of clear red plastic, so it has great visibility from all sides. This is an improvement over the old design. The headlight still seems to be the same, with a compact and sleek design that looks good on the bike. The battery life on these things is insane. It's probably the best feature of them. The old set ran with 100% reliability in some rough conditions. They stayed on the bike through several winters. Rained on, knocked around, and plus they were on my bike for Burning Man three times. They're inexpensive so you don't have to worry about them, but are incredibly reliable. The only thing that failed on the old set was the retaining clip on the headlight. It broke off and is the weak point in the design (if you can even call something a weak point which lasted through 7 years of heavy use - especially at this price). However the light itself still functioned and I used it as a flashlight for a while. During some de-cluttering I threw it away and quickly regretted it. It was handy as a flashlight with that crazy battery life! Makes me sad thinking of it buried in some landfill somewhere. Bummer. It deserved better. But now I have another one ready to shine for years to come. You can buy these lights with confidence and know that they'll work for a long time.

Perfect...
I looked at a lot of different bike lights and read a lot of different reviews. There are so many to choose from it can be overwhelming. And it seemed like you could always find lights with great reviews, yet had several other reviews that completely hated it. Confusing... What I noted though, was that the majority of negative reviews were due to the mounting system of the light, and it either falling off or coming loose. This light had all positive reviews so I decided ro give this a try... so happy I did.The mounting system is where this thing really shines... well in addition to the really bright LEDs. It has this unique zip tie like system that will mount to any bike frame. No tools are required whatsoever, you simply hand turn the hardware until it's nice and tight on your bike in the desired location. It makes the lights extremely tight and secure. They won't go anywhere. I've jumped my bikes off curbs and everything else and these don't move.Where I live it's county law to ride with lights at night, and you pretty much have to anyway because people drive insane. These lights are ultra lightweight and extremely bright. People see me clearly now, slow down, avoid me, and even give me the right away when appropriate. The headlight has a flashing and regular on mode. And the The tail light has a flashing, sporadic flashing, and on mode. You just hold the button down to turn them off. The headlight turns on with a quick button push, and you have to hold the tail light to turn it on. Both remember which mode you had it in when you turned it off, when turning it on.They also both have a quick release button on the brackets. The tail light comes with a clip so you can mount it to yourself, belt, backpack or whatever. With the quick release you can easily change batteries (haven't had to yet so can't comment on battery life), use the tail light for safety, or the headlight as a flashlight. These things are fantastic and I'm very happy with the purchase. They did everything I wanted them to and with ease, and for a great price. I would definitely recommend these to anyone.

You will be seen.
First off, this is a light that is meant mainly so you will be seen and noticed by others around you. Some people like to rate lights down because of this, but I buy lights for this reason because I don't need to light up the road, I just want to let motorists know I am coming. I like to run my headlight on flashing mode to help draw more attention, and man does this thing throw off some light. I can see stop signs about a block away reflecting some of the light, thing flashes like a strobe, and with great run time. Rear light works good as well, nothing hugely standout about it. I rated this 4 stars and not 5 because of two things. #1: to turn the rear light on and off, you have to press and hold the button, and you have to press and hold the button to turn off the headlight. Takes a little getting used to, but they do remember what setting you used last. #2: the mounting brackets are a tool free kind, and I am hoping that the plastic doesn't grow weak and brittle as time passes for me here in the desert (I always like it when I have a nut and bolt to tighten down the lights, but I guess this is the new age). All in all, I feel it was a great buy for the price.
