DometicRV Refrigerator Vent Cover, Base and Cap, Polar White

The original fridge rooftop vent cover cracked on my 2018 Avenger. This is the perfect replacement part. This is a two piece part, I only needed the cover since the base was still intact. Removal of the cover was simple, just 4 Phillips head screws. Only issue is they DON'T include new hardware so you have to reuse the 4 screws. My screws were stuck in the cover because of all the Caulk the factory used. I had to crack the plastic around them to get them out. That took the longest amount of time. Otherwise it's a 10 minute job. I'll throw the base in the shed in case I need it down the road.

Cover fit fine resealed and seems to be working good will update review assuming it makes it past a few seasons hopefully.

Replacing a damaged cover assembly on my wife's 2013 Big Foot cab over camper.This was the only replacement I could find. It is wider than the original, but not enough to be a problem.The grille was a bit distorted as noted in other reviews, but the plastic was ok and the distortion will not cause a problem.There were no screws for the cover, so I purchased stainless steel #8 x 1 1/2" screws from the hardware store. I'd recommend carefully threading them before installing the vent, so they will be easier to install on the roof. Only the corner screw holes in the new vent matched the original holes, so I filled the old holes with epoxy and drilled new ones.I used stainless steel #10 x 1" truss head screws to install the vent on the fiberglass roof of the camper.Sealed with 2" strips of Eternabond Tape.

Worked fine to replace my damaged unit however there were no screws provided. Minus one star…

Works great! Easy install come with both bottom grid and cover so no worries about the size and distance between the screws to match.

Perfect replacement for my Dometic RV refrigerator roof vent cover. The whip antenna just in front of it whipped back and cracked the original one. It was 5 years old and brittle. I did not replace the base which would be more involved but still do-able by owners who are handy with tools. I am saving that piece in case it is needed in the future. I just used a screwdriver - 4 screws - to replace the old cover - which was black- and fill the screw holes with RV sealant. Happy camper. Recommend.
