Q: Do these work well for left-handed persons?

To feel totally comfortable a left handed person should buy the Fiskars left handled scissors. This is very important because being left handed scissors, the blades are also reversed and this model also still retains that classic & iconic look and shape of the legendary Original Orange Handled scissors which is great! However the handle is Red which is sharp!
