Jar Candle (2, Fields of Lavender)

I don't leave a lot of reviews but I am so very pleased with this purchase I really wanted to. I decided to seek out something lavender to help me relax; I've been quite stressed going through cancer treatment. I'm a somewhat anxious person anyway, and know I like the scent of lavender. So I purchased these candles, and burn one every afternoon as I work at my home desk. A lovely aroma, very natural not "chemically" or cheap. The jar is about 3 1/2" high with a 10" circumference. Fits anywhere, looks exactly like the photo. The accompanying snuffer is very helpful. Would make a beautiful gift for yourself or a special friend. Comes boxed very well. I don't usually spend on a "gift" like this for myself, but it's wonderful and worth every penny! I just love it. And yes, I can attest to lavender being a soothing aroma :)

I decided to splurge and treat myself to some new candles to kick off the holiday season and get it smelling fabulous in my home! I don’t usually buy things for myself, so when this arrived I was pleasantly surprised! First of all, The packaging was really nice. I could definitely see myself purchasing more sets as gifts! I loved all of the little personal touches, especially the little flame extinguisher. I really love supporting small businesses so it was really nice to receive such a quality product made right here in the USA. I took the winterberry pine one out immediately and lit it, within minutes I could smell it’s fabulous scent! It was not overbearing, it was actually really nice and filled the room just right. I was looking for something to remind me of the holidays so this set is absolutely perfect. I have yet to light the hot apple cider one, but out of the jar it smells divine. I will be ordering again, the mimosa and champagne apple set looks amazing too. Thank you!

Howdy; I finally got my den remodeled and have been using one of the candles for the past couple of days and the smell of pine drifts through out the house. Living in the Nevada 'Outback', I do love the smell of Pinon Pine. I love it and will be ordering more at needed. Now, if they could come out with a candle that smells like Sage after a rain, it would be another choice. I would recommend these candles in a heart beat. Sure they're expensive, but worth it. I have been burning the first one for 8-10 hours a day for the past three days and its only half gone. The jars are great for curing herb. A win-win coming and going... Overall, these candles were money well spent. They indeed lasted for the promised amount of hours. They came beautifully packaged, and I don't think the quality of the candles can be contested. It's easy to see that they are made and packaged with care. You can clean out the mason jar and reuse it when the candle is finished. The candles burned clean and evenly, and I wasn't careful to keep the wick trimmed as recommended (whoops). The only downside for me was the scent. I didn't like how the candles smelled. I had the two candles this company claims are made with essential oils. The lavender candle and mint/eucalyptus candle. I'll admit that the fragrances were indeed natural. However, they were almost medicinal...in a bad way to my nose. I suppose I expected a different, perhaps even a more commercialized version of these scents. I'm not sure. I don't blame the company, the scents just weren't as "nice" as I expected. While I don't recommend these particular scents to anyone, I am going to purchase other candles from Way Out West and see how I like the fragrance. So overall, I recommend these candles very much.

I bought these for myself, but they are packaged perfect for gifting. The jars are real Mason jars and have a pretty little filigree charm tied around the neck of the jar. I love woodsy-holiday type scents and this pinion & pine combo is amazing. It's like a freshly cut Xmas tree lot and native American incense combined. It's fantastic. These candles burn clean and even. No black spot collected on the jar during burning at all. I will 100% buy from this candle maker again.

The candles have a nice fragrance…not overwhelming, but noticeable. Would purchase again

As a 60 year old, I truly feel that all the big box stores ran the mom and pop stores out, that I was used to growing up with. now we have made full circle and I again can enjoy doing business with folks that truly appreciate your trading with them . Our product arrived as promised and was of the best quality for a very fair price.We were thanked ,and asked if there was anything else they could do for us,imagine that ,,no more turning off the checkout line light and running from you. Thank you amazon and Ocotillo Southwest. Oh my wife said I needed to tell everyone specifically about the candles,she LOVES candles and I have bought every brand High and Low priced and she said to say that these are her new favorites,becuase of the quality,price, scent and burn time--Will keep buying

The candles smell fantastic until you light them up. However, when you actually light them, the scent vanishes. It is very weak and kinda weird. In addition, an unpleasant burnt smell appears. At first I thought it might be the wick, but I trimmed it and the burnt smell was still there. It is not very strong either, but since the scent is weak too, their combination gives me headaches. I would give them 2 stars, but I contacted the company and they were very nice and offered to send me a free candle. I refused, since I doubt that the new one would be better, but I acknowledge that the service is nice.
