These are the BEST fans (I have 3 + gifted 1) Super powerful. Makes hot days comfortable & keeps the flying insects off the porch. I have two in the dog area that creates a crazy nice wind tunnel so they can spend more time outside on the hottest days. They love them too. Those 2 having been running daily through the summer for about three years now. Still going Strong!

These 18 inch fans are quiet for their size. They are excellent and pushing air and do not get too hot in Florida in my barn over my Horse Stalls so far so good the 18 inch ones are heavy. I also bought a 14 inch one for another stall that my cats hang out in. The 18 inch fan is 20 pounds but we hung it on a 2 x 8 after board with the screw that it came with, and it is very sturdy and it does not move when the fan is on

This is a great outdoor fan with a fully enclosed motor so that it is waterproof and much less of a fire hazard than the standard cheap box fan that many people use for horse stalls. I bought an 18 inch fan with a fully enclosed motor from a livestock company to use in my horse's stall last year to make her more comfortable in our hot and humid SC summers. It moved a lot of air on the medium setting. High setting was unbelievable (I'd call it windy)! I was impressed with the performance and quality. I recently got a second horse and needed a fan in her stall and another for the wash stall. I searched Amazon.com first just to see if they had something like what I had gotten previously (they didn't the last time I looked). I was ELATED to find that they had this fan and it was priced much less than the other that I had purchased from the livestock supply company. I decided to order one so I could get a better look at it and to test it. It is identical to the fan from the livestock company, and moves the same amount of air in all 3 speeds. The only difference was the company label on the center of the front enclosure. Even the instruction notes that came with the fan were nearly identical. I'm extremely happy with this purchase and ordered a second one. I may get a third to mount in our outdoor patio.

I bought this floor fan for my garage, and it has been a lifesaver in the Florida summer heat! The airflow is incredible, it really moves a lot of air and keeps the space much cooler and more comfortable while I work on projects. The fan is sturdy, easy to adjust, and has multiple speed settings, so I can customize the airflow depending on how hot it is. I’m really impressed with how powerful it is for its size. Definitely a must-have if you need strong air circulation in a hot garage or workspace!

Hefty, powerful fan for outdoor applications. I can feel it from over 20 feet away. Seemed to be the only reasonably-priced unit that I could find that was actually intended for fully outdoor use (not just on a covered porch or something, like more decorative/expensive units, i.e. “damp-rated”). I’d like oscillation, but wouldn’t find it at this price, nor would I have had as much freedom with mounting options. Pros: -Strong airflow, even at its lowest setting -Hefty construction -Weatherproof (so far…about a month) -Mounting configuration allowed for flexibility in setup that gave me several options for deployment Cons: -Strong airflow, even at its lowest setting; wouldn’t mind a lower setting -Supplied hardware was a little lacking in variety, but I was figuring I’d be supplying my own tailored for my custom application anyway -Fan speeds go from lowest-to-highest, instead of highest-to-lowest as in every other fan I have ever experienced…not really a strong “con,” but notably odd -Angle of adjustment is limited by tabs that occasionally prohibit movement to what I would consider an ideal position, but that could be down to how I have it mounted (hanging down from a pergola instead of wall-mounted) -A bit loud; if casual conversation around the unit is more important to you than staying cool, you might want to consider something different Bottom line, while there seems to be more cons than pros here, the cons have been minor, and I would recommend this for anyone looking for a fan that would be exposed to the elements, provided they don’t need oscillation as a feature and noise level is less of a concern.

I have read nothing but great reviews on this item. I'm sure the product is great however I ordered the wrong one. Last year I saw one identical but it oscillated and had a remote. I didn't see it this year so not sure whether I ordered the wrong one or the oscillating one is discontinued. The shipping from the US to Canada was amazingly fast however the shipping charges were exorbitant. The shipping cost almost as much as the fan. For this reason, I will not be returning it while I hunt for one that oscillates. My hubby doesn't even want to install it because of this. :(
