Perfect! Really nice mic for the Yaesu FT60. Highly recommend. Been using the mic for over a month now out on the trails doing SOTA summits. I zip tie the mic cable to the top of the belt clip. No issues at all. Wish I had purchased sooner.

I do volunteer work with CERT and K9 SAR. I don’t have enough hands as it is, let alone messing with my HT.This combo works great for my Yaesu FT-70,cord is just right length for my molle chest rig or duty belt. Audio is clear and transmissions are clear. The Mic/Speaker is quite small, about 1/2 size of a typical combo. This is NOT a negative for me, but a bonus! Small and Mighty!BINGO!

Bought this mic for nothing but being able to use my HT when it’s in a carry case. While it’s good sound quality, I’m using it on a FT-60R which is known for having a great integral speaker, so I can’t say that it’s a noticeable sound quality improvement over it. However, there are several radios that it would be an improvement over. While I can appreciate weight savings, my only complaint is that the mic is light, too light. If it were weighted it would have a better feel. Aside from that it gets the job done.

This microphone is made in Japan and not in China. A plus to keep everything from Japan. Sounds great. Nothing cheap about it. Great price.

My Yaesu FT-70D was getting bad reports where the .modulation level is concerned, using the built-in mic on the radio. The port for an external mic was completely different from the FT65, so I couldn't use the Motorola mic that I normally use with my HT's, which was a big disappointment. So instead of making an adapter for it, I just ordered this Yaesu mic with the correct 3.5mm tip, ring, ring, ring plug. I used it today and made contact with a few of the same people that gave me reports before, and they said it sounded like my normal transmission quality now. The same modulation they have come to expect from me and my radios has been achieved with this microphone. Highly recommended for the Yaesu digital HT!

I originally purchased an aftermarket microphone for my Yaesu FT-60R. It worked for a while, but because the plug on the aftermarket model is not precisely the right size, it stopped working. Bought the factory model, and it works with the same radio! Don't buy the aftermarket stuff! Stick with the factory original product!

Microphone works great and the speaker is loud and clear. This is just what I needed to go with my HT which I keep mounted on my dashboard with a magnet. The microphone brings the audio right to my ear in spite of road noise.
