Q: does it hold up well a shower curtain?

Yes, the hooks hold the shower curtain well. I really like being able to put the shower liner on the inside hooks and the cloth curtain on the outside hooks. It also works well if only using a single curtain. The hooks also roll well across the bar. How well the bar stays up is reflection of the bar, not the hooks. I definitely would order these hooks again.
