the bristles are soft and thin, and do an excellent job getting between teeth -- and the company has a 180 day satisfaction guarantee (I use a toothbrush about half that long at most) -- TRY THIS: buy a box of these, and have everyone in the family brush their teeth as well as they can, and rinse thoroughly, then, use THESE toothbrushes and when you rinse, spit it into a glass and see how much more food these removed from your teeth. I did, and I was disgusted to see how much the previous plastic brush had missed. I don't endorse a lot of products, but I do endorse this one.

Q: Does it whiten your teeth?

It doesn't actually whiten your teeth, BUT it cleans them better than any other soft-bristle brush I've used.
