Motion Detector Socket Plug with Switch, 9W LED Bulb Warm

This is an awesome light!!! We got this for the garage in our home and have it set for motion and boy do we love this light!! No more switching on and switching off a light switch when you enter or leave this room. It has a sensitivity of 6 ft. to 30 ft. and we have it set for 25 seconds to stay on. Both the distance and time on are adjustable with the turn of a screw driver included. We got the warm light and it is available in day bright. We plugged it into the socket in the ceiling and it works when we enter the garage through either the outside door or inside door. This allows u to see at night or first thing in the morning when my husband heads to work in the dark. This was perfect in the public laundry room in my apartment building. The basement has several old, dead light fixtures and only one good working one. I added this to double the light that what was provided by the solitary socket, and it did just that. Both bulbs are motion sensing LEDs, and by using this to take advantage of an electrical socket's location we now have adequate, automated light throughout the dingy basement laundry room.By using more bulbs like these I actually turned the entire basement and stair well into a hands-free experience, with all the bulbs turning on before you, off after you, and staying lit as long as you occupy a given area. It has been enthusiastically received by my fellow tenants and the landlord, the latter whom chose to reimburse me for the full expense because it's an awesome and effective solution, and he even asked me to do the same setup in some of his other buildings as well.This bulb and fixture set was crucial to complete our automated lighting system in the communal basement laundromat, which had insufficient light fixtures. The laundry area was dark and dingy prior to to installing this socket based solution, and the only wall-mounted bulb fixture was located across the room in a corner which made doing laundry very difficult and frequently resulted in lost articles of clothing (so many socks!) by the time I'd get back to the apartment and get it all sorted. We combined this socket/bulb solution with a cheaper motion-sensing LED to really light the area sufficiently. The hands-free aspect is so ridiculously convenient and practical I kick myself for not thinking of it sooner.To clarify, this bulb was perfect for an area without a fixture but we used cheaper bulbs throughout the rest of the laundromat, hallways, and stairwell to save money. I'm planning to purchase another one of these for the furnace room, and I would gladly recommend them to friends and family as an elegantly simple solution for a space that doesn't have adequate fixtures. It is reliable, consistent, and far cheaper than having an electrician come in to install more permanent ones.

All I needed was a motion light in my garage to turn on when I opened the door and was in sensor range. While it was working, it was nice and bright and turned on with motion sensor as it should. It always flickered at first, but eventually it went away and stayed on consistently the longer it was powered on. I was OK with it, but then it started flickering constantly after a few weeks of use all the time. It has an irritating strobe light effect but at least I could still around the garage so I put up with it. Last week it finally stopped altogether. I've just replaced it with a two-pack plug in LED light I got for around the same price as this. While not nearly as bright, they work much better for my purpose as a garage light and don't even require 2 wall outlets to be taken up.

Works well. I ordered two of theses. They are adjustable for light conditions, sensing distance and duration. Very easy to adjust and a small screwdriver is included to make the adjustments. Used as a motion detecting night light. Two bulbs are included with each set: an LED extra bright bulb, which worked well and is quite bright; and a round bulb which (presumably is less bright) but did not function at all.

From the top to the bottom, this is one seriously ugly product. It functions, and if your goal is to have a standard LED lightbulb turn on when movement is detected, then it works just fine. But don't expect an attractive design at all.The part that holds the bulb is a weird fluted design that makes no aesthetic sense. Then some ugly green writing. Below the motion sensor are three holes that contain some ugly orange screw potentiometers for adjusting how long the light stays on or how sensitive the motion sensor is. They even give you a tiny screwdriver to change the settings, but seriously? That had to be on the front of the unit? Not say the bottom where they would not be seen?The included bulb didn't work, but I substituted my own bulb which works just fine.So yeah if you're going to put this in a utility room or garage, then it's very effective. But you would not want to put this anywhere where the ugly would interfere with your decor.
