This blanket is perfect! Cotton is a denser material than what is typically used for blankets. Because of this property, it's heavier than most blankets of this size, yet it is not plush and is very thin and woven making it extremely breathable. Like other users mention, it is not soft in the same way that plush, velvety, or silky blankets are. Rather, it is a coarser texture like a sturdy flannel shirt. It is by no means rough, it is just textured which I love! This is the perfect blanket for the summer because it remains very cool while still providing the weighted down feeling of larger, heavier bedding. I'm fairly sensitive to textures and this blanket is wonderful! I use it regardless of the weather, although I need extra layers when it is more than mildly cool.

I ordered this in the long twin size to fit my husband's hospital bed. Forget any more white bedding...this ads color to the bed and is soft and lightweight.I haven't washed it yet but being 100% cotton, I expect it will wash nicely.The price on this was amazing....I think I will order another one.

Absolutely love it the thinness and texture are perfect for warmer months coming up. My other blanket in this material is too small/old & needed replacement. I got married so ordered this King size in my hubbys fave color and its absolutely perfect. Im a hot sleeper and already got to test it out its great and the royal blue is rich and vibrant. Great bargain. Not too stiff either considering its 100% cotton

It fits our king size bed with just enough overhang. It’s more of a smooth, hospitable blanket-ish texture, so it’s not very soft. It works for what I needed though, just a top lightweight layer. The color is a little warmer in person than pictured, but that’s something I expected.

This is a great blanket to have in the summertime. Being made of cotton, it is breathable, so it's not unbearably hot. I ALWAYS need a blanket, no matter the temperature, so this fits the bill.I have cats. Cats have claws. So I always have to be cognizant of what bedding I use, as my cats sleep with me. No blanket is going to be 100% snag-proof, but this comes close. When when one of my cats "makes biscuits," the tight weave holds up to his claws.I haven't had the blanket long enough to know how soft it gets after many washes, but I am hopeful. This blanket is not very soft right out of the package, like fleece is. But it's not scratchy, either.Keep in mind this is 100% cotton, and all that entails... If you like cotton blankets, you will like this one...and the price is very reasonable.

I love that this coverlet is the perfect weight for added warmth in the fall and winter. It's a little too warm for April in the south. The queen size, and color perfectly match my duvet. It stands up to the cat claws very well, so it protects the duvet from snags, and it will easily fit into the washer. My queen mattress is 12" thick, and this is a true queen size. It covers the mattress all around, with a couple of inches of overlap. It's a good value. It's textured, ( like 2"x 2" blocks of twill and seersucker.) so not silky soft, but not rough either, and it's 100% cotton, so I will not wash in hot water or dry on hot settings. The label doesn't say if it's pre-shrink. I'm happy!

This blanket was an inexpensive fix to a very expensive problem! See, I have a cat, and while I love her very much, she has a habit of attacking my blankets. She has destroyed hundreds and hundreds (and hundreds) of dollars worth of duvets and covers. Originally I used duvet covers as they were easier to wash when she inevitably shed all over them, but then she started putting holes in them. So I got rid of the covers and just left the duvet. Those were less prone to developing holes but with a king size bed they are impossible to wash in my home washer and dryer so that became an expensive route as well.In comes this fantastic blanket! Although it is very affordable it is also of very high quality! It's heavy enough where it stays in place on top of my comforter but not so heavy as to make it hot or anything like that. In fact, I would say it adds very little warmth but what it is is very durable! My cat hasn't put a single mark in it yet and the best part is that it fits very easily in my washer and dryer and comes out looking great! I would buy this blanket over and over again!

This is exactly what I was looking for but it's way to narrow. Normal king flat sheets are 102" wide while this is only 90 wide which will barely cover a queen bed down to the bottom edges of the mattress. Forget about it covering a King with enough to reasonably go over the sides! I love the weight, color, and feel. If it was only wider I would have given it 5 stars. It is also way longer than it needs to be so it goes from the top of the mattress all the way to the floor at the bottom. I'm thinking about turning it sideways but the hemmed seams are at the long ends and that would seem wrong.
