Finally—A perfect compass for holding a pen. I draw geometric art and I’ve been struggling to find the perfect compass to hold a pen securely and with legs that won’t collapse as you draw. So much better than the style that you have to change out. And at a very nice price.

This compass is solidly built - except for in the very crucial area of the pencil holder, which is made out of cheap injection-molded plastic - with plastic screws. If you press down very much while tracing your circle, this part will bend, and distort your circle. I was very disappointed by this oversight. I'd pay a few bucks more for this device if they'd make this part out of brass.

Not only is this a great little compass but the company is awesome. I lived the little personalized note that comes with it. It works great and adjusted smoothly and stays where it's set. It feels strong and durable in your hand and the pivot point tip is sharp and stays in place. Only down side us mine came without the locking nut on the little screw that holds pencil holder in the frame. At first, I wasn't concerned about it, but I emailed the company anyway, they returned my email promptly and never questioned my claim and sent me not only one locking nut but 3 sets of nuts and screws. Would definitely recommend

I use this compass for my mandala dotting art and it is perfect! It is a great size, feels like good quality and is easy to use with a reasonable price.
