Q: Is the body of this somewhat made of metal or is it about Target quality with a metallic finish over plastic?

It is all metal and the base is very heavy and sturdy so no fear of tipping.

Q: Why does the description say 25 watt bulbs but two of you have said 60?

60wt. EQUIVALENT led bulbs are actually only 7watts. You can use a maxinum 25wt regular incandescent bulbs but LED bulbs are brighter at a lower wattage.

Q: What is the bulb socket size of the lamp? Is it E26?

Yes, it is E26. It accepts regular size base. I've used 2 different types of G by GE and also Wyze smart bulbs (LED) in it.

Q: Is this lamp dimmable?

YES, but not in the usual way. It has three settings. The first one turns two lamps on. The second one turn the first two off and the other three on. The highest setting turns on all five lamps.
