My 4 & 6 year old kids liked it - it's a lot of playing with polymers (as with many of these kits). It's worth it though to have the test tubes and other supplies for doing whatever experimenting the kids are up to in addition to the given ideas.

Q: What supplies do you need that have to be purchased separately? Also, how many experiments does it include?

There are seventy (70) experiments listed in the booklet included with the kit. The list of items that you need but are not included in the kit, is rather extensive, and includes about 33 items. Those items, helpfully, are listed on the front page of the booklet, along with a list of items included. There is also a "You Get It" list of ingredients under each experiment that calls for something that is not included in the kit. About 30 of them have such a list. Some of the items you need to get can probably be found around the average household. Some may require a shopping trip. I hope this helps you out. :)

Q: Our kit did not include a blue scoop. What is the measurement equivalency? e.g. tsp? TBSP?

I can't find my blue scoop at the moment. But, I believe it is the same as one teaspoon. I'm not 100% sure.
