Q: Where does the red wire hook up

Hi there. Good question. I hooked it up to the fuse slot for the windshield wipers, but you can use any slot that is for an accessory that turns off when you turn off the car. From what I recall, the grid for the fuse box -- located to the right of the center console -- is printed on the inside of the plastic cover, but you can find a diagram online as well. Don't put it in something that runs all the time or you will drain your battery. Trust me, I should know! ;) Put one end of the small metal piece in the empty end of the red wire and the other part fits snugly in with the fuse. Crimp each down lightly to keep it fit. Hope this helps.
