Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I purchased this and received it yesterday. It had by far the most positive reviews but you just never know.I fully charged it (which didn’t take long as it arrives with charge) and then waited until it started going dark. I then hung the lamp outside near to the seating area, turned just the bug zapper part on and left it overnight. It lasts around 8 hours on one charge.I was truly expecting a few flies max to have been zapped but was amazed at how many had been caught and killed. I have attached a video showing what was killed on one night. I then didn’t fancy cleaning it but a quick rinse with the outside tap (following the instructions provided) clears them easily.I hung it outside again to dry and once done, recharged it. This took around 4.5 hours from flat to fully charged.So from a testing perspective I am extremely happy with it.I will monitor its longevity and practical application and update this review with my findings.I only bought it for its bug zapper bug the light function is useful. I would prefer it if it was a black case as opposed to a bright colour but it is no deal breaker for me. The usb cover became detached from the body of the light but again I don’t expect to lose it so no major issue for me.I highly recommend it.

Great little unit. I was sceptical about it due to its size. I have to say, I was very impressed. The ultraviolet lights looked low powered and like they offered no function. After an hour or so I looked at it and could see loads of mosquitoes in the trap section. This was used in Venice to offer some protection whilst we sat out. There were too many mosquitoes for the unit to cope with so not great foroutside use in Venice in July. However, Having cleaned the unit of the dead mosquitoes and put it in our motorhome, we had 10 nights with no mosquitos in our van. The unit did fill with dead ones though so I would say it did a great job. Would definitely recommend. The light on the bottom also works really well when it's hung above a table. Loads of light to see whilst eating a meal and playing cards. Great buy.

I ordered this with trepidation, so many of the reviews of similar items are mixed, would this turn out to be a dud? No - within its first hour of use, in our home kitchen so not exactly teeming with insect life, it attracted and zapped 8 - yes EIGHT - tiny flies. That bodes well for serious use when camping, and has made Husband very happy as he hates insects ... I think we'll buy another one!

Pond in our back garden so problem with Mosquitoes giving nasty bites! Left this out overnight last night and yes it works! lots of dead mossies in there. Only gave four stars as the thick rubber band protecting the light just slides off, it's too loose.

Love this, very effective. Had it out in the gazebo and was surprised how many bugs were caught in it.i like the light to is also bright.

I used this on our camping trip last week. I didn’t expect much, but was very pleasantly surprised! Not only does the light work well enough and long enough to light the whole tent, but it was effective at catching bugs too. Flies have plagued us in the past, but not this time... the only one that escaped the light was the one trapped in the tent liner. One charge lasted over 2 days.
